I haven't seen an update on Celebrity Website but that doesn't surprise me. https://loyaltylobby.com/2022/01/03/celebrity-cruises-other-lines-are-re-introducing-mask-requirements-for-indoor-spaces-after-infections-exceed-1-of-passengers/ Edited January 4, 2022 by Jim_Iain

If you're in St. John's, we aren't too far away from each other. I'm in Middleburg (outside of Jacksonville/Orange Park). You'll have to let us know when you plan to cruise again, sounds like you need to take a VICTORY lap. I canceled our 1-9 Edge cruise today🥲, so maybe we can take our FCC and join you on next one. All the best to you and your wife. -Sunny Hey Sunny! We are home and settled. I’ve had a long covid nap and have been banished/quarantined to the upstairs area. We’re just off Race Track Rd, so not too far. We certainly need a re-do, but ours wasn’t as bad as others. We would be happy to join some other CC’s in the future. Thank you!!

We have many people who participate on both our FB page and our message boards. We have no issues with people linking their own, personal FB pages in their profiles, or on your signature on Cruise Critic forums. You understand that doing so allows our members to know your "real life" name. ROLL CALLS created on FB are not anonymous. Most of them are open to the public. Even if they are private groups, once you are accepted into the group everyone will know your real name. In doing so you have pretty much told all those people -- strangers -- when you will be away on vacation. The fact of the matter is most people do not understand how much personal information they are sharing. On Cruise Critic roll calls, everyone is anonymous. You have the ability to remain as anonymous as you'd like throughout the entire Roll Call timeframe and throughout your entire cruise if you so desire. You can be JoeCruise101 until the day you disembark. The choice is yours, you share as much or as little as YOU choose to; everyone starts out on a level playing field on Cruise Critic. Anonymous user names only. Also, FB Roll Calls have already proven to divide Roll Calls. People, for whatever reason, who cannot seem to get along may open a FB group and then want more people to participate, so they harvest members from the original ROLL CALL. There have been actual disruptions encouraged on FB directed towards our ROLL CALLs.We believe a ROLL CALL created on Cruise Critic should stay here. We've worked long and hard to create this community, and have provided a certain level of trust and privacy for our members. If they choose to participate in a FB Roll Call, they'll have to learn about it somewhere other than Cruise Critic. We request that you not solicit people to your Facebook page on any of our ROLL CALLS. Interesting - thanks for the information.

So as I understand it, some X ships are individually invoking masking requirements for that sailing based on exceeding the 1% guideline on the previous sailing, but the X website has not been updated to reflect this. It's pretty rotten to arrive at the pier thinking masking isn't required, only to learn after boarding that now it is. 2

The Celebrity App just updated the mask requirement for our upcoming cruise on 1-16-22 on Edge. At least they didn’t wait til we got to port. 1

Room service didn’t know what that was, so I told her to tell Lito or Hero in the Craft Bar that it was for me and they’d know. 15 mins later it arrived. I have NO experience working in food/bar service. Once in my 20’s I joined friends and volunteered as a waiter for a night at a fund raiser dinner. The first table I waited on a woman ordered a “Virgin Presbyterian Tall”. As a non-drinker at the time, I knew I wasn’t destined for a career in the food/beverage industry! 🍸

Kevinb1176 Posted January 4, 2022 #500 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Spoke too soon. It used to say unvaccinated. Now it shows all guests. we’re planning on going apex this weekend. It’s too much. Not anyones fault but I’m not rebooking. We had the first cruise cancelled on edge 3/15/20 a day before departure, it’s been rebooked 4x already and with my wife being due in July, we can’t cruise by the end of the year. Stress is the amount of ifs. Have to hope the CVS has tests we’re scheduled for Thursday, have to pass the tests, then have to hope the flight isn’t cancelled, then worry about being quarantined if we get Covid. We’ll stay on the ship, try and distance in the outdoor retreat area, and hope for the best. I don’t think this will be enjoyable until it’s over and we’re hopefully back home and done with 3 years of planning this.
