Currently on the Edge in the Retreat and being told we do not have a drinks package?

When I research non-Retreat cruises on the website, if I am NOT offered a chance to upgrade to Elevate or Indulge, then I know I selected a guarantee or simply sail rate (without Always Included)....then I start over!!

Maybe the OP hasn't updated the post because he really didn't have Internet included!?

If you choose the least expensive rate in any category, there will be a panel that states that no perks are included, also true for the Retreat.

It’s pretty cut and dry and at least clear enough that I understand it (which makes it very clear, as I look for loopholes in everything).

Booked on Edge 3/6/2022.   Booked in Sky Suite Cat. C-2.  Did this through TA and addendum on bottom of their invoice included Sky Suite, All taxes, fees, port charges, prepaid gratuities, 300 PP onboard credit, premium beverage pkg, Unlimited streaming WIFI pkg, non-refundable deposit, travel insurance (which we paid extra for) The Retreat Amenities:private restaurant, and exclusive lounge and sundeck.  After reading all these comments, I also got nervous and called Celebrity and they verified that these "perks" were included with our reservation. I always go through TA or Personal cruise line consultant when booking.   Good luck to each of you and smooth sailing!

OP still in hiding, at this point, I figure they have it handled someway or another.

Wondering about that myself.  OP said wife had the invoice.  Wonder how that conversation went when she showed him what she booked?

I believe they have changed the names of the Elevate and Indulge packages. Now once booked you can go into manage your cruise and under packages you will find two new packages One Called  "All The Guest Favorites PERKS Extra"  and the other "All the Guest Favorites, PERKS Ultra"  which pretty much replace the old Elevate and Indulge packages. They both offer a 20% pre cruise savings and can be added anytime prior to you cruise. You get the Premium drinks package and shore excursion credits in both.

Yes, now that that Loyalty promo is no longer running, I think it would be fairly hard to accidentally book a sailing without AI and not realize it. That promo was just the worst.

One of two ways for sure. 🙂

OP probably came to the realization that they don't have free wifi either 😀

At this point, I could care less whether he got any of it at all.  Tough lesson to learn by not paying attention to the details and reading the darn contract and T&Cs.

Interestingly enough, pricing on their WEB site has been all over the map. I'm not sure what Celebrity uses as a formula for pricing, but it's pretty crazy.

I look every other day for price drops and it has paid off handsomely since startup.  For grins, I looked at a March sailing.  Retreat AI Sky Suite was $60 more than a Sky Suite Guarantee cabin with no perks.

Further, there were a couple of sailings where an AI cabin was LESS EXPENSIVE than a Guarantee Cabin with no perks.

As you previously pointed out, their Captain's Club promo was really discombobulated this past summer.  I'm sure the promo's intent was to get Captain's Club sailers back on their ship.  Probably worked, but not without lots of misunderstandings and confusion.

This is the code for our Stream internet on the Reflection in August, we are booked in a Sky Suite for 10 nights and it is for $29.90 per day per person or $299 per person. total.

YVY9-INTERNETSAV1 -$299

Looking at your codes you have the surf package, but you need to check with whoever you used to book originally.

I read your post and I thought, hmm...

The code YVY7 is on mine (as shown in post #102) and it's a Sky Suite with all of the perks, which includes stream internet.  A different code than what you have and price.

Curious as to why my stream internet shows as $22.11/day and your stream internet is $29.90/day?   It's not like it is a charge we have to pay for, but just wonder why the per day rate is different?   As long as it's stream,  it doesn't matter, but just an observation. 😉

I also went back to another booking confirmation from a cruise in October '21 and that was prior to upgrading so the included perks on the invoice were the Classic Beverage and Surf Internet.  Here are the codes for those, obviously different but you see how it shows Surf for the Internet.

Chuckling at the people saying that the OP has gone into hiding, or may not be posting back because he's found out bad news about his perks.  Folks, the OP is ON A CRUISE!  He posted a question on here and got some leads, but my guess is that he's now off enjoying his cruise... perks or no perks.  One of the last things I'd be doing if I was on a cruise is reading and posting on CC.  It's CRUISE TIME!  Eat, drink (even if you have to pay for it)... HAVE FUN!!!

I was describing the process I use while I’m booking or researching cruises…not after it is booked. I still see option to upgrade to Elevate or Indulge before the review and pay page.

I see the same as you, I just used it for GTY sunset veranda on the EDGE in 2023

I have a cruise on the Eclipse in April and booked through a TA with AI so checked with Celebrity and all perks are there. Very odd that when I booked it was all included plus on board credit and the next day it disappeared from website but I had a courtesy hold so it appears they honored the price and perks. Celebrity was not offering perks with this rate.

I will take my paperwork with me anyway.

Not good I imagine

Hello everybody! Currently on the Edge! I am pretty sure I overheard the OP and his wife in a very heated discussion at the retreat pool. No, it’s not pretty… And, I’m pretty confident they did not pay for any perks. Whether they will be married when they return home remains in question!

Elevate and Indulge have not changed. Those are unique rates that have to be selected at booking or pay prevailing rates to change to them later.

Perk Extra and Ultra are add-on packages, ideally for people who want the extras but their booking didn't qualify - like some travel agents rates, comped casino rates, etc. You can do Extra and Ultra with or without drinks included.

Expecting your customers to understand your internal coding is dumb, especially since those codes change all the time and they are not always clear even to experienced cruisers.  It does not take much effort to associate those codes with a description that is in plain English in any system.  Think of the resources they spend on having agents tied up all the time explaining what it is that a customer has actually purchased.  Beyond absurd and bad customer service.

The big box store I use has always spelled everything out.  The one time it didn't, the TA on their end noted that when she sent my original invoice and told me they were working on adding the language, and then I got an updated version a couple days later.  If a third party can do it, the cruise line should as well.

This has really been turned into a far bigger issue than it truly is. The Loyalty code issue last fall was a problem. No question there. However - especially since the AI packages rolled out, what's included and what's not is really pretty simple. You don't need a folder of screenshots and invoices. It is very very rarely a problem and if it is, it should be easily corrected. In the rare instance you get on board and for some reason have the OBC, WiFi yet drinks are mysteriously not included, one look at one line on your booking tells me what I need to know to get it fixed. If you booked online yourself and missed all of the "Cruise Only" warnings, I can't really help you there.

I can relate with OP predicament. Having booked the CS 48 hours before sailing and no perks on our paper work, all Amber, the Edge concierge could do was begin quoting me the charges and DW replying " I want the best and fastest and everything." ( And I swear I heard the word 'cheapskate' under her breath). We lucked out since we paid the only price offered at last minute which turned out to include everything. Amber's charges were reversed and so was the can of water.

I hate to be pedantic about this. I wasn't worried about what our TA booked this month for Beyond in a Celebrity Suite in July 2023, but now I think I am confused. I have the following. I believe this means we are getting the premium drinks, premium wi-fi, tips, on-board credit, and shore excursion credit. Is this correct? Thanks

Booking Charges Currency: USD

RETREAT NRD.             -$***

Onboard Credit

Onboard Credit.              $***

Promotions Applied

Not sure where AMBER is now, but she was on the EDGE on my sailings, too.  She’s wonderful!
