Whoopee!!!  I was hoping Princess would come back to Texas.....WE will be cruising even more than we do now...and I love the Ruby Princess!!!

Will be interesting to see their Panama Canal cruise from Galveston...

I will be looking for the new itineraries on April 7th.

We just now got an email that we will be moved from the Ruby to the Royal, back-to-back Pacific coast itineraries 2023. We are now booked in a club class mini suite.  What do you think we will get on the Royal?  I hate those tiny, narrow balconies on that ship!

If you can and don't mind being upfront, try for M107 or M108 with the huge balconies.  L107 and L108 also have bigger balconies.

Ahhh, okay, now I get why I got notified the Ruby is being redeployed and the Royal is taking over some of the cruises out of San Francisco.  Welcome home Royal Princess to San Francisco!  Honestly, it's nice to have the huge Royal class ship homeported in my city, we usually get the nearly retired or oldest ships in the Princess fleet.

We had a Vista suite on a Feb Panama cruise on the Ruby. Called our PVP last night and got a Midship Penthouse suite on the Mar Emerald since Vista’s were sold out. Looks like very few suites left wonder what others got?

I'm loving the news about the Royal coming to San Francisco! Also very interested in the Ruby's Western Caribbean sailings from Galveston. We have a Western Caribbean in February of 2023 on the Sky, out of Fort Lauderdale. If the Ruby has an itinerary as good out of Galveston, my flight-hating hubby might like that better. Or not. We have one of the M6 minis on the Sky, and he loves those.

They "might" move you up - but if the new ship has the same category cabin, that is all they will promise, so it will likely be another Mini suite with its "Royal" sized balcony.  In Kmhuk's case the Royal does not have oceanview cabins, so they will move them up one cabin level, not down.  In your case, anything beyond what you had booked will be a bonus, but the minimum is the category you already have.  If unhappy with the cabin when you get one assigned, talk to your PVP or Princess rep and let them know you would prefer something with a larger balcony and they may well help you out to keep your booking active.

Anyone have any thoughts on where the Ruby will dock in Galveston?

Royal Caribbean will soon have a new home and there are the old standbys (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2). Wondering where the Ruby will tie up. Terminal 1/2 I'm guessing?

Just got an email confirming that our Hawaiian cruise has been switched from the Ruby to the Royal.  Our cruise is still scheduled to depart January 16 from SFO.

Wow, I just asked our TA to book this (Ruby) this morning.  I guess we'll be taking the Royal.  I wonder if she'll have to wait a few weeks to book it.  Maybe she'll book the Ruby and then we'll get transferred to the Royal.  I'm good with it... as long as our fare doesn't change.  We'll know soon enough.

Oldest, yeah sure did.

We did soooo many Grand cruises, then finally get Ruby.

And now Ruby being shuttled outta here so soon? 🤔

Carnival and I think Disney and one other sail out of Galveston on a regular basis.

RCI has two ships now and the Allure will be there at the end of 2023.  Carnival has three now and their Jubilee will be there at the end of 2023.  NCL will be returning there in spring of 2023 with their brand new Prima. And Disney has a ship there.

Actually Allure arrives in Galveston in mid-November this year. Got it booked for December 🙂

Looking forward to seeing Princess' itineraries especially the Panama Canal repositionings.

This is awesome!  I'm contacting my travel agent to book another cruise on Royal when sales start.  Hoping they'll take my casino discount by time I book.

Patience, young grasshopper! We'll know either tomorrow or Friday depending on whether they mean Aus or US time when they say details will be released on the 17th March.
