Do you give cash when tipping for your free drinks? I don't see anything posted?

Typically, you don’t get a receipt for the free drinks, so it’s just easier to tip cash when we get those. Same situation with the other cash tips John mentioned.

I swell up so badly I take water pills now. I freaked out the first time it happened. Legs and feet were so swollen I had cankles and sandals barely fit.

Learned it wasn't that uncommon and was from the salt after googling.

Forgot my pills on Harmony a few weeks ago. Fortunately didn't really start until say 6 and wasn't that bad.

I have read that people who only drink bottled water on the cruise have relief from the swelling. Even though the water is filtered so many times, it still has a higher salt content. It happens to me every cruise for the past few years since I turned 30. I’m going to try it in December and hope it works. The last cruise I did in February it was a 6 day and started on day 4. It was miserable.

That could definitely help but you can’t get rid of the salt in the food, ice, etc.

Hope whatever you try works. The pills pretty much solved the problem for me… provided they’re on the ship & not in my house. 🙈

I had this occur 3 cruises ago.

It seems the shrimp cocktail as well as the pizza and french fries consumed gave me such swollen ankles I had to wear sandals on formal night................not pretty.

So at my yearly doctors visit I told him what happens when I cruise.

His advice besides limiting the shrimp, fries and pizza was to take.a water pill.

He prescribed Lasix 20 mg as needed.

Now on sea days we get a lounger close to the ladies restroom and I visit it frequently for about 2 hours.  Never in my mind did I hold that much extra fluid.

On port days, If needed I do not take till we get back on ship.

This last cruise in May, I did limit the amount of salty foods, and only had mild swelling on one day and took only one pill on that whole cruise.

Oh, do not know if it is true and do not want to cause a debate, but I will only drink bottled water.

Read some where that the ships water with some osmosis or whatever still contains low levels of salt.  I know your not supposed to believe everything you read, but I drink bottled water when drinking water that is.

Take care

Same as us.  Cash tips for all.   Over and above the prepaid grats.  🙂

I've read this enough times to believe it. As posted earlier, the problem is that all the food is cooked using "ship water", the ice cubes come from "ship water" if you have any cocktails with ice, etc. Not saying bottled water won't help, it should, just mentioning it's not necessarily the drinks that the salt is coming from.

I wish you the best in finding a solution that works for you and am fortunate that OTC water pills work for me and I don't really have to use the facilities all that much extra.

Same here, cash it is.

My cruise packet gets stuffed ahead of time with a trip to the bank, loading up on packs of

ones, fives, tens, and 20s.

The funny thing is leaving a fiver for breakfast in Chops or CK.   They look at us like we are from Mars or something.  😉

That reminds me - time to order another pack of $2's from the bank (that way they're almost always crisp/new). Those are ideal for our drink orders. 🙂

I'm sure that the golf cart would be better appreciated in Georgia.  I live in more of a Florida-Georgia neutral zone, but John is deeper into Florida and not far from Gainesville.  😱

As soon as our Walgreens negative test e-mails arrived before the Harmony cruise, I went straight to the bank for small bills. I didn't want to jinx it until we tested negative. 🤣
