I got the email & called this morning. I was on hold for 45 minutes & then my call failed. Started over again & it took 2 more hours to get through. The rep asked if I was calling about the Mexican Riviera & I said yes. He asked the dates I was looking at & then said it didn’t show I had an email sent to me with the offer! He sent me an email so I could forward the email from Blue Chip to him to prove that I did get it. All was good, but when I inquired about upgrading to Aqua, he said it would be another $3k! Uh, no thanks, I’ll just take the veranda cabin! Just happy to get a balcony for $278!
Barbara

That is a crazy amount to upgrade to aqua when some here said $140 for 2pp ! I am still on hold and bored 2 hr 30 min !!

Sdnich,

Yes, I thought it was crazy too, but I figured to just take the FREE veranda. I know I could call back again & get a different rep, but didn’t want to be on hold forever again!😂. My friend & I will be happy with a Veranda! Good luck on hold!

I finally got through after a 2 1/2 hour wait. I tried to upgrade to AQ but was told that was not part of my offer. So, we have a 2B veranda with select dining. If we’re not crazy about the ship after our Sept. 16 Pacific Coastal, we can always cancel and get our $285 back. We were on the Solstice several years ago and scheduled to be on the same ship from Sydney in March 2020 but that was cancelled due to covid. It is one of the ships which has not been revolutionized. But, for the price, it’s less expensive than staying home and going to restaurants around here. Also, we’re in San Diego so we can drive to the port.

It was worth the wait!

Has anyone been told that their preferred sailing date isn't available anymore for this offer? I've filled out the form but not called in yet.

Yes, we picked three dates that would work and got our third choice.  The guy did seem to think they’d get more cabins to sell but it could take 24 hours.

I was allowed to pick the room I wanted, in the same category they offered.

There's an available number of comped slots per sailing.  The reps are very busy, I personally never use that form and call early in the morning.

After that long wait the offer was for my father-in-law so we could do three in the room (but he was never going on the cruise with us ) but it would be the first two for free and then we have to pay full price for The third. We will still save some money but it was a cruise that we weren’t really planning on going on anyway. We will definitely sign up when we are on our September cruise 😁

Now  I need a cocktail!!

The odd thing is I don't receive AQ offers via email or if I call BCC yet if you go to future cruises while on board, they'll happily book you in AQ.  On board you can often book most sailings except for the following, can't book the Ascend, can't book ships without casinos so the Galapagos is out and can't book sailings over major holidays.  Yet one could book a two week that goes to Antarctica or Iceland and Greenland

Remember that guy that used to post about the huge demand on the West Coast and insisting Celebrity base a ship there? I guess this answers that question. Can't fill the ships so having to comp them.

We also got this offer; on our May cruise we might have spent a couple hundred in the casino. It had been 4 years prior to that when we had last sailed on Celebrity. Maybe they are targeting people that look like (gambling behavior) they might spend more.  I'll probably do this, free beats wholesale.

Pretty typical; my last offer before this was the Infinity.

You do receive club points on BCC comped offers, double if solo and and an extra worth of points if you "Go Green".

I don't gamble.  If took one of the offers are they going to pressure me to use the casino when onboard? I don't really understand why i get the email.I guess they gave me some free slot pulls as a loyalty perk and i used them. Maybe? I get them often and have been ignoring them.

No.  Here are the Captains Club T&Cs (see last paragraph under Club Points): link

That's not correct, casino booking don't count as complimentary sailing. This is directed to industry discounts. I have always gotten CC points for every single sailing under casino rates. Never paid for a single cruise in my life and I'm at 400 points now.

Nobody will bother you even a second. You might get a flyer in the cabin outlining some casino hours and specials but other than that nobody cares.

Exactly this. I always book my cruises with Alicia from the Future Cruises Desk, she is the best. Sometimes she can confirm it right away and other times I have to call BCC to pay after she reserved it for me.

I didn’t get a call back, but received an e-mail with the offer, and was given my first choice.  The offered cruise showed up as a courtesy hold and I was able to pay online.  I submitted the form about 6:00 pm MDT yesterday and got the offered cruise e-mail at 9:00 pm MDT today.

I had a choice of any 2B Veranda.

Can anyone confirm that this cruise is refundable until 48 hours before departure? I think someone mentioned it in one of these threads, and I think the Celebrity BCC rep said it too, but the connection was so bad, that I don’t know for sure. It would be really good to know if it is refundable because the booking confirmation just shows the regular cancellation schedule as if it were a regular booking.

Hope everyone gets what they want! I waited on hold for 45 minutes tonight and got it exactly what I wanted. 👌

If all you are paying is taxes/fees those are always refundable.   I think the 48 hours you are talking about is Cruise with Confidence program which would not apply to these bookings as you had to book by 3/31/2022 and sail by 9/30/2022.

My understanding with the comped sailing is you can cancel anytime and get taxes/fees and any cruise planner purchases refunded.

Ok, have to send hubby on a search of his email. We have been on eight Celebrity cruises since August. Although not big stakes, he has gambled on all of them. We did a Princess cruise of the west coast a few years back on a casino offer. It wasn’t free, but really cheap.

Check your spam or junk mail box. All my Blue Chip emails were going in there for months.
