Blue chip email? Is it a scam?

I agree about having the “real time” deck plan available, but I was shocked when I was offered a Deck 8 cabin on the angle. I was prepared to negotiate.

Has anyone upgraded to Concierge?  If so, may I ask what they charged?

I asked if I could but my offer didn't allow the upgrade option. I think it may depend on your level in the Blue Chip Club. I am a lowly Pearl.    🙂

I am Pearl as well. He said that every offer is different and he needed to check mine. I can get CC class for $70 each. Some got it for $20. Some were allowed to pick any 2B cabin and I was allowed a sunset balcony.

Called in today, they had our info, but hadn't got around to calling us yet due to backlog. Got a 1A 3rd off the hump on deck 7. Wasn't able to get any of the March cruises, but the CSR seemed to infer they haven't been released yet. Was able to get the last week in Feb. My wife was on hold about an hour.

I feel a little silly for asking, but here goes. I was on the Edge in April (first time on Celebrity - fabulous ship) and gambled. Am I automatically in the Blue Chip Club? Don’t think I signed up for a Captain’s Club number. I did tap my card at the machines when I played, and I did earn points (can’t remember how many). How would I know how many points I have? Wondering if I sort of don’t exist in BCC’s eyes.

I have another thought. There is an offer for double captains club points for this cruise . I wonder if this would apply since we actually get points.

The gentleman working with us on our booking told us that we will indeed get double points for our cruise.

I like this as it will make me elite plus and we are on a B2B so will enjoy the perks on the 2nd half

I’ve tried since Friday to call them and spent a lot of hours each day w no luck so far getting someone to answer.  Definitely frustrating

Know what's worse?  Many are reporting (myself included) that after a long hold, you can hear someone pick up and then the call ends.  😞

I ended up calling on Saturday and got a date booked.  I just received a confirmation from the form I submitted so now we have 2 bookings.  I’ll cancel this second one. But if you submitted a form, they’re still processing them.

So I got the email back with the booking number, room assignment and everything.  Do I now need to call them and confirm it and pay or is there a way I can do this online like a regular booking and payment?  They could cut down on a lot of the phone calls and hold time if this could be completed online.

This was the first time both my husband and I received the email.  Both sent to my email address. We are East Coast so never considered the Mexican Riveria.

Like everyone else, first call was 55 minutes and i had to hang up.  Second was 70 with a pick up and immediate disconnect.  No response on the email.  I went to facebook and sent a message.  Within a day I had someone call me to set me up!

We were able to get 2 cabins, 4 in each at the "$1" rate.  That's what she called it.  Just taxes and port charges.  Right now I hope to have 3 and 3, but she suggested I keep it in case the rate disappears.

I looked at the 2/4 sailing, not available then the 2/11 and again not available then 2/18 was good.  Originally I was looking at the 11/5 because we have a week off of school, but the rest of the party wasn't available. I liked the sound of Mazatlán over Ensenada, hopefully that pans out.

Question - can under 18 be in Aqua class? (Neve rmind just looked up 2 people per room)

Anyone ever go to these ports in February?

Log into your account and add the reservation.  You should be able to make payment there.

Yes, you will be able to make the payment online.  That is how I did mine.

Like many of you, i was surprised and a bit curious when I got my email offer. Not a gambler as a rule, just an occasional "drop some money in a slot machine" kind of girl. I submitted my requests on Saturday after talking to my husband about the mere possibility of going. I have not received my email yet but I called this afternoon to see what they would say. We were actually out when they finally answered (cuz I knew it could take quite a while).  The girl I talked to encouraged me to wait for the email. At first she offered to send me to sales but I didn't want to make decisions without having deck plans and specific dates in mind. When I submitted my choices I didn't realize all Mexican Riviera cruises didn't have the same itinerary. I just picked the end of Feb and first two weeks of March. I chose the "back end" of the offer hoping the cruise line would be in a better place with testing and protocols.  Knowing everything I've learned by reading this thread, I now have a better idea how to get upgrades! So thank you everyone

Celebrity is by far our favorite cruise line but haven't been on a ship since Feb of 2020, Right before everything shut down. I thought maybe they were giving incentives to "come back".  We hit Elite status during the shutdown by doing their power points program. (close to 100 points). We are looking forward to getting back to sea.

Just booked October 22 with the offer and October 15 with no single supplement for back-to-back. 🤑

I’ll be on these also. I had already booked and regret not even playing a little on my last cruises! Because these sailings were so cheap, I took this as a chance to try the Retreat for the first time.

Well friends, I had to bite.  I did not get the e mail offer but it seemed others also did not so I waited on hold about one hour this morning.  Talked to Miguel.  He took my captains club number (Elite and Oynx) and said that I did not qualify for a free cabin.  He offered a balcony? with all perks for $2365 and the same without perks for $1559.  Right now on X site you can book a Guarantee balcony for $1484 no perks and maybe some OBC.  The BCC offer did not seem great to me.  This was for Solstice on Dec. 3, 2022.  We have Solstice on Dec. 11 in Aqua already booked from some time ago and thought we might go B2B.

Just wanted to report that not everyone can get this deal just by asking.  I think maybe they might be targeting people that have not cruised since the shut down to entice them back on board.  We have sailed with X three times since sailing resumed and have three more booked.

Like most things cruise, who knows what their criteria is. We have taken eight Celebrity and three Royal in the last year. We did not get the email, but called and were qualified?

Nope, we sailed in May of this year.

There was no availability for this promotion on Dec 3 when I spoke with them last Sunday.  They offered me a different casino discount on a suite for that sail date (which we took)!  But when we checked other sail dates it was available and was very generous (as described in other posts).

A couple of years ago, we, by happenstance, ended up on an X cruise that was targeted toward gamblers.  We only found out after boarding. The table minimums at night were rich, with blackjack minimums at many of the tables bumped up to $50. Yes, minimum. I wonder if this will be the model for these cruises.

I am Amethyst level. My wife is a lower level, Onyx. She got an email for this promotion.  I did not. No surprise. This is the type of illogical incompetence,  along with gruesome hold times on the phone, that I have long come to expect from the BCC.

I doubt it. Haven't seen such high table limits on Celebrity before, quite the opposite.
