Celebrity was sure smart to offer this deal! It’s getting me, who wasn’t impressed with our Celebrity cruise, to try it again, it’s gaining a new sailor in my friend who is normally loyal to a different cruise line, and the savings on the cruise will simulate onboard spending. It’s a win win!

It is interesting to see Celebrity/BCC are still sending out offers. My offer, which I accepted, expired on August 3.

I am a Sapphire gambler on Celebrity and have NEVER received an email or any contact from the Blue Chip Club.  Not a peep.  They really need to work on their marketing.

We get an annual free cruise anyway though. For whatever itinerary, not just the Mexican Riviera route.

This marketing seems to be aimed at many who have not cruised since pre covid

I received a post card type mailing on Saturday.  I scanned the QR code and it gave me several options to choose from.  I was able to select three.  I had a confirmation by Monday morning.  I am level Pearl in the Blue Chip Club, an Elite level cruiser and the last time I cruised was in November of 2021.  I don't know why I was selected but I will gladly accept.

They always seem to do these for the undersold sailings usually sailings less than six months.  So strange that they sometimes do a marketing blitz that's snail mailed WITH a QR code that isn't duplicated by email.  When you use the form online you only "request" the sailing and have no choice with cabin type although you can always call later and have them change it

I would have definitely liked these options better. We had only Solstice and only Mexican Riviera sailings.

Ditto, my "Mex Riv" offer expired Aug 1st, had no idea a week later these would be available AND I almost threw this mailer out wrongly assuming it was just Celebrity marketing and not from the casino dept.  IMO, if they're going to snail mail they should email you in advance to get you a heads up.  I'd imagine up to 50% of these mailers get thrown out

I was trying to use an email that I received that had my father-in-law‘s name and put in our information. I just deleted  and re-put our information in. And they didn’t except it I called and they said that we could not use his link. I then opened a blue chip account for both my husband and I because we do gamble but we usually use cash? Last week I read applied what the same original email and said that we were blue chip members and just received a free cruise for March 2023 ! Very happy !!

What is the current process for opening a blue chip account?  I signed up many years ago, and now my wife wants to sign up, but we cannot figure out how to do so.

Go onto the Celebrity website and do a  search of the blue chip casino club . And sign up for communication.

Late last year and earlier this year they had $5 tables in the day on sea days. That seemed to stop in April.

Called this morning and upgraded to Concierge for $10pp/day. Was able to select our favorite cabin. On hold for about 30 minutes, which I considered pretty good.

What is your favorite concierge room?? Also our total for the room in the veranda was $ 278 but they want a $500 deposit. I’m assuming they’ll just give you onboard credit but I was thinking about calling to take care of it over the phone and curious about the other options were to upgrade the room?

That's strange and doesn't sound correct. Comped cabins are ALWAYS just Port taxes and fees, and of course any other upgrade fees.

That’s what I thought I just went onto my Celebrity account and a hold cruises there for $278 but they want a $500 deposit and they gave me a negative balance of $222. I guess I need to call again. I was curious about trying to upgrade my room from a veranda to concierge or aqua if possible. They did put us in an A1 cabin 8197 one of the slant larger balconies..

Not sure I want to share. 😁. In general, we like the mid-ship angled balconies on Deck 10. This time we got 1231, but they all offer oversized balconies, excellent overhang for weather protection, convenient to the pool and Oceanview Cafe. Also, next to some suites, so we’ve had some excellent cabin stewards. 
 

I have not heard of anyone else being asked for a $500 deposit. We initially paid $284, then the upgrade cost today. Sounds like you need to ask some more questions.
