Ship is too big and technically getting bigger.  Not to mention Allure is definitely not a newer Oasis class.

If they are talking about Allure replacing Utopia, and then Utopia going to Asia, then it will be a newer one.

July is perfect, evens things out nicely.

Exactly.  Then enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's at home before Groundhog Day 2025, aka Bella 2.

I was on a cruise around N.Z. Just a little while ago .

Just before Ovation was going to leave N.Z.and cross the Tasman sea back to Sydney . A heap of people disembarked before the end of the cruise. Like quite a few, over a hundred.

I was told they where doing a around the world trip organised by R.C.

Apparently they come from L.A on Navigator  flew to Australia did a cruise and then on to Singapore ect ,ect .

Maybe it could be something new ?

That would be cool.

Was I wrong in hearing that the newer ships were being designed to also tender within the O class? Heard it a few times, but I don't know whether its just talk or fact.

The deck plans for Wonder have an area on deck 2 called "Boarding Area".  Some people took that to mean tender area.  I think it's just the area used at ports of call for getting on and off the ship.

Posting this here since it was updated June 1.

Mildly interesting is Quantum shown as doing SEA to SIN, then SIN to BNE in October 2024 yet the website is selling Vancouver to Hawaii on Quantum Oct. 1 after the Alaska season.

Hmmm....we're about to book the Oct 2024 Quantum to Hawaii.

Looks like only Ovation and Quantum "down under" in 2025.....

Thanks for the update - do you know how long the Quantum will take from Oahu to Singapore? I guess she goes for dry dock to Singapore, or?

I'm not aware of any plans to sail from Hawaii to Singapore.

sea-distances.org shows it to be around 16 days with no stops.

Just to show how important Perfect Day at CocoCay is, they have a column in the chart from post 1762 just for PDCC.

Someone's job is to fill that column as much as possible 🙂

I see those green dots.  I wonder about their hurricane contingencies 🤔

I don't think they try to pre-plan hurricane contingencies because hurricane impacts are not known until they are about to occur.  Without knowing the track of a tropical storm and the timing it would be impossible to run endless what-if scenarios for hundreds of itineraries.

Royal has been dealing with the impacts of tropical storms long enough to know what works and when to make changes.  The vast majority of cruise itineraries during hurricane season go off exactly as planned.

What are the chances this is going to be the itinerary. I've been waiting a long time for RCI to either start or end in Shanghai. We did a Singapore to Shanghai and would love to do something similar again.

Possible open schedule date June 26th ??

I am thinking wait until the 26th.  The fact they are doing a test load now suggests they are close to releasing China.
