They still have my tomato and mozzarella, and buff chicken, so I am good!

I'm intrigued by the steak and cheese, may have to try that next month!

Thanks for posting. 🙂

I see PORK BACON BLT. Another cutback. What happened to turkey bacon?

Cookies should be just a few feet away with the other desserts.

John is really tooting his horn about pork bacon. Amazing how low people's standards are these days they'll get excited about being able to eat real bacon. Sounds like a dystopian fiction. I'll give him a pat on his porkbelly when the rest of the cutbacks of the past few years are history as well.

Cookies will be available for many hours yes, but not during some of the Deli's most busy times (when the lunch/dinner buffets are closed).

The Deli BLT never went away.

Reducing the Deli hours should address that issue.

John Heald said "My thanks to The beard for reading the hundreds of comments yesterday requesting we keep the fries, the hotdogs and return the BLT."

So apparently the BLT did go away at some point. Or maybe it reverted to turkey bacon? I don't know, my usual deli order is either buffalo chicken or hot dog so I don't know what happened to the deli BLT during the height of the bacon crisis.

For reference, here's the previous menu.

Changes that I see:

- Turkey and falafel wraps are a wrap.

- Pastrami & tomato gone.

- Truffle fries, egg salad, and potato salad gone.

- Cookies gone

- Grilled cheese removed (although I suspect you could request a grilled ham & cheese with no ham?)

- Steak and cheese sandwich added

- Veggie burger added

- Chicken salad added

- Coleslaw added

I don't know why they couldn't make a turkey wrap

This isn't as big a change (IMHO) as room service, but I'll submit it anyway, since I'm sure some of you are interested.  As always, please don't kill the messengers (either of us):

The BLT was made with turkey bacon just as it was on the room service menu. The addition of the word " Pork " Bacon is used to identify the change on the new menu.

The BLTs I always got were overstuffed with real bacon, but I haven't had one since bacongate started.

Yes, we noticed the switch to turkey bacon when pork bacon first went to every other day availability. We're glad to see the Veggie Burger is listed now. It has been available on request but now it will hold pride of place with other good options on the new menu.

They changed the Turkey which used to have avocado and cucumber to a Turkey & Swiss.

Interesting.

At first glance I didn't see any changes from what I had typically eaten from the deli - I usually get a Reuben.  Obviously not everyone would feel the same, so I'm not going to dismiss the changes as "doesn't affect me, so I don't care".

But in looking at the old menu, I'm pretty sure the Pastrami and Tomato Panini was also enjoyed by me occasionally.  So I'll miss that.

But: the "return" of the BLT more than makes up for it - I loooove BLTs.

Nooooo, not the pastrami. I'll miss that.

However, I am still glad to see the buffalo chicken, meatball, and cuban. Steak and cheese sounds great (minus that vile horseradish).

I'll have to get a BLT since it's all the rage.
