Ok one last one.

If you pull this up full and then zoom in you can see how bright the stars are. There are millions of them tonight. I can’t help question Who are we? Why are we here? Is anybody out there? Why does my shoulder still hurt???????

Goodnight. Tomorrow is a sea day for our last day. I’m sad.

Hennessy is definitely one of my favorite drinks, but currently sipping a Martells cognac.

The only thing that had been a little wonky is that  sometimes the internet will just kick off and you will see you have no connection. Easily solved by reconnecting but I’m not sure what is causing it.

Just a guess: the ship's Starlink dish is transitioning from one satellite to another as the satellites move across the sky.

Dish owners, using the Starlink app, can see how often this occurs.

Linda and I talked about it last night. I will say it may not make financial sense on some sailings, but on this sailing a balcony and inside cabin was cheaper than our balcony on Symphony. Obviously easier on smaller and older ships. We said that this was like having a two bedroom suite. The ability to have two bathrooms, two closets, two desks and two sofas was huge for us. The only thing you have to be willing to accept is that your hallway from one bedroom to another is a public one. We even had guest services give me another key so I can easily go to her cabin without knocking even though we a code knock to let the other person know it’s us and not a cabin steward. We both slept really well and we will fo this again if the price is right.

Try and find a connecting a balcony to an inside, a very rare combination. Aft corners on a couple of decks.

We are currently in two non connecting balconies, so we travel via the open balcony.

I love the idea of connecting rooms.  A few years ago I had booked a solo trip as I was making my quest for Pinnacle.  My sister decided to join me and I said ok — but not in my cabin.  We ended up with two connecting cabins and it was great.  It’s the way to go if it is financially feasible.  Katherine

I'm really late with this, but download the Sky View Lite app on your phone.  Point the phone at the sky and it overlays info about everything that you're looking at.  Very cool on night like yours.  The app doesn't care what you can see and not see...it's based on where your phone is pointed.  It therefore works well on a cloudy night also, showing you where things would be if you could see them.

Thanks Katherine that is a great idea to look into too. Obviously price would factor into it but I’m sure on an older and smaller ship it might very be cheaper than a single balcony on a larger ship. I’m sure itineraries factor into it as well.

Hubby and I are both Prime in Club Royale and a few months ago, earned instant rewards certificates for interior cabins using the ships' current casino promotion. He convinced me to have us each book our own comped room, side-by-side, for the same cruise. With Club Royale, booking this way gives us the benefit of earning double points per night, without the cost of sailing solo.

We cruised as solos for a couple of cruises, and our favorite, of course, was when we booked connecting rooms: 2 bathrooms, 2 tv's, double the storage space,  but no having to use the hallway to get to the other room.

We also had a change in plans for 2 of these cruises and gave one room to our daughter one time, and just last week on the Liberty, gave  "my" room to our son. We always get a second room key when booking 2 rooms, so I just used that key for access to hubby's room.

The only extra fees we had to pay, since they were comped rooms, were the port taxes and fees for ourselves (of course) and for our son and daughter when they sailed with us. Since each certificate is good for 2 people, they were our guests. Completely legal and do-able, yay!  The only hitch is when more than 1 person is in the room, you lose your solo status, but I truly didn't mind - my son and daughter sailed with us on a cruise 🙂 .

Now this is a first! Double Espresso served in a paper cup. What happened to all the Espresso cups?

Brioche French Toast. I’ve had this almost every morning. It’s so good. Nice and hot too.

Omelet with Ham, onion, mushrooms and cheese. Made to order. Very hot. I love it.

One more breakfast tomorrow when we depart.

The Hennessy Black was very good.  For the price I really like the Remy Martin 1738 Acord.

Great advice John. I also like the non connected via the balcony route. Nice thing being aft and having rooms across the hall from one another is there is not much traffic. I never see anyone in the hallway.

Go Pro 11 Hero sunset Timelapse. Too bad heading north on the starboard aft side could not get the sun but still cool anyway.

Very cool.  Living on the east coast, I've learned to appreciate "reflected" sunsets in the clouds.

Do you know if all balconies can be opened or is just on certain ships?  I just booked  2 cabins for myself and the 3 grands kids for next summer.  They aren't connecting cabins.  This would be a great if we could do it.

Pool area was really hot so we retreated to the Solarium where we found a bench by an open window and a nice breeze.

Not pictured the two Miami Vices with Kraken Floaters I drank. Bartender’s only put 1oz of alcohol total in a Miami Vice where as when I make them at home 3oz’s.

I thought I would try a Caribbean Mule. I Really like the fact Royal uses Strawfish Biodegradable Straws. Let’s save the ocean from plastic please.
