This unused area of deck space is most familiar with those guests having enjoyed a meal outside on the Edge exclusive to guests dining in Blu.

It's great that they relocated 2 lifeboats on the Beyond where Blu is located which allows the views from the majority of the windows in Blu to see the ocean. I know that was a major complaint for many of the Blu on the Edge and Apex.

Another nice change from our Edge sailings are the frequent telephone messages left by our Retreat hosts everyday on the cabin phone. The constant red light blinking and trying to fiqure out how to stop the blinking and erase the monotonous messages from the hosts. This is day 5 and we got our first message inviting those of us Retreat guests that wish to tender ashore tomorrow in Grand Cayman to meet in Fine Cut and be escorted to the tenders.

The special turkey dinner in Luminae was excellent. White meat turkey (only, no dark) dressing green beans, mashed potatoes, pecan pie, besides the regular menu posted for Thursdays. Had lunch at Eden. Was hoping for turkey carving there as well. One must place order at one end of deli counter, take a beeper, when beeped go to other end of deli counter to pick up order. Four desserts all with nuts but the delicious chocolate cake. Went to Al Bacio for more desserts. No lines as everyone was in Cozumel and plenty of tables to choose from. Tomorrow's plan is to try the Retreat Sun deck menu.

Ohhh the blinking red light is the worst!!  I’ve never been able to get it to stop. On one cruise I put the phone in a drawer but another time the phone wouldn’t reach a drawer so we piled up extra pillows on top of the phone. It got to where our cabin steward caught on to our problem and at turn down he’d pile the extra pillows on top of the phone for us. I’m telling you, it’s the little things that they pick up on that really earn them our generous tip at the end of the voyage.

Would flights be part of the drink packages.  We have premium so would we be able to get an Imported flight under our package?  Thanks!

If they are treated like the martini flights then no the  beverage packages don’t cover the martini flights.

That’s very interesting. I saw the Boyband members walk off the Beyond on Sunday, 11/20/22 with their luggage.

It is funny you mention this about the Boyband. We passed by The Theater marquee and DW remembers we seeing a Boyband last year on Edge. She commented that they needed more practice back then. Also last year on the Edge we were privileged to see some top entertainment like "Up Town". Even back then I took a photo of the marquee of the 3 Up Town performers and noticed immediately those pictured on the marquee were not the same as were on the ship. So if you saw them leaving, you might have missed their replacements.

I reported last month on a group on the MSC Seashore called "Off the Record, On the Rocks" with a video and another poster posted a picture of an entirely different 5 group members of the same name on his MSC Meraviglia cruise.

My brilliant butler on the Summit had a way to stop all those intrusive phone calls.  Don't know what he did, but they stopped.  They really are annoying.

It happened a second time to us. The first time we thought we pressed the wrong elevator button, but this time we had a young gentleman who got on the same elevator at the same time going to the same deck. We pressed the up button on deck 4, an elevator lite up 'green' , the three of us entered, we pressed deck 12, it was only button that was lighted, we stopped on deck 6 and the elevator reversed direction going down. The 3 of us got off on 6. We took the stairs and the young man repressed the up button for another elevator. We like the elevators better on the MSC Seashore. The suite guests key cards bring empty elevators and deposit guests to designated decks without stopping.

Thanks for the laugh about the pillows! 😁

Our solution to the dreaded blinking light was to take a hand towel from the bathroom, fold it in half and cover the phone with it.

Last week on the Beyond the elevators were terrible. I think Celebrity should give us frequent flyer miles for the distance traveled on the elevators during the cruise 😀

Saw Up Town on the Apex Oct 2021. One of best singing groups I ever saw on ships.

I think you are on to something !  Pictured in the photo is a key card scanner, similar to those on MSC. Our suite keys do not over ride the system on the Beyond (I tried), but that does not mean that upper category suites than the one we are in don't as well. So having paid $19,000 for this cabin total for one week and not getting the override privilege as a bonus does not compare favorably against MSC Seashore/Seascape for $10,000 in a mostly comparable suite, with override capability.

What the stairs option? On DCL, i opted to take the stairs a lot of the time. Are stairs also scarce?

What are stairs? Based on my daily caloric intake each day on a cruise, stairs are not an option! Especially every morning at breakfast having my quart of grits that includes a stick of butter, half pound of bacon, and a teaspoon of salt.
