Arrival Time for Suite Guests

I am sure this has been asked before, but my searching has been unsuccessful. It's been a while since we did Celebrity. Do suite guests choose an arrival time when checking in, or are they allowed to arrive whenever? Thanks

You choose an arrival time when checking in, but you can actually arrive any time you want.

I wonder if suite passengers can arrive at anytime does selecting a time  use a slot that could have been available for a non suite passenger?

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I don’t know but we select a late time just in case.

Not in the slightest you go to a different section in the terminal that is only for suites.

What the poster means is if there are only 100 slots for the 11:00 boarding time and as a suite guest I pick 11:00, does that mean that there are only 99 slots left and therefore one less for a non suite guest. Because a suite guest doesn’t need a slot, does that take an opportunity away from non suite passengers. Does the computer magic know that I’m in a suite and not deduct from the count. I’m curious too. I’m bring 9 suite guests with me and don’t want to spoil it for others.

No idea on their technology.
regarding slots it has always selected the same arrival time by default for other guests in the cabin so I do not know if it counts as 1 per cabin or 1 per person.

in retreat they reached out to us to ask us our arrival time as well ( not sure if that is standard or upper suite only communication)

what I do know is we booked first available time slot and there was hardly anyone in the queue outside waiting for them to open the doors.

Indeed! If I'm in a suite, do you think I could request the 100 yard swim?

I mean, they are there to please, aren't they?

I don't know where your are sailing from, but you likely will have a entirely separate check in area once you do arrive at the terminal. Be sure to look for that or ask.

Happy sailing!

No issue.  There is a boarding time to control the crowds showing up all at once.  The suite guests are in a separate line and do not compete for slots.  It is not really a big deal honestly.

Thank you for answering this.  The earliest available check in time was 11:30 and it had us select it to complete check in.  So it's confusing as a suite guest, with advertised "priority" embarkation, why they even have us select a time if it's not enforced. Thank you for the update on ignoring the selected time. We will head to the port much earlier than 11:30.  Is 10:00 reasonable for arrival even though our check in time is recorded as 11:30?

Don't worry about your selected checkin time if you are a suite guest.  It's meaningless, just a side effect of their horrible IT department.

Generally boarding starts right around 11.   We try to arrive around 10:30 when in a suite.

I think 10 AM might be a bit too early.  Even if they check you in as a suite guest, the ship will probably not be cleared for boarding yet so you might have to wait in the terminal.

I'll relay to you our very recent experience for illustration purposes.  We had a 1:30 scheduled time two weeks ago at Port Everglades on Equinox.  But as suite guests we arrived about 11:30 AM, and we were escorted to the very short suite line, and an agent checked us in with a portable tablet and we went quickly through security.  This whole process maybe was 10 min max.  The ship had just started boarding (at 11:45) and again suite guests were in a separate short line for boarding.  We went right to our cabin and dropped off our carry on stuff and got our Sea Pass cards.  After an 11:30 AM arrival at the port we were walking around the ship unencumbered by noon.  We went to the Spa and made appointments.  We went to Murano to make a dinner reservation.  Following that we were having lunch in Luminae by 12:30 PM.  It was all so easy!  Enjoy!

The terminal might not be open to embarking guests that early. As mentioned, 10:30 is plenty of time (and you'll still likely find yourself sitting around for a bit). Checking in goes very quickly, especially if you have your photo and other information all squared away on the app.

I definitely wouldn't arrive any earlier than 10.30.

We don't usually arrive until around 11.30, as we keep in mind the previous cruisers do not have to be off the ship until 09.00 and the ship is (presumably) thoroughly cleaned before opening up to board the new cruisers.
