That’s a bummer!  Do you know what nights would be formal nights on a 7 day?

Depends on the itinerary... Typically Night 2 and Night 5 or 6

But some itineraries have been 3 and 6

I wasn't too concerned because someone shared their latter on the same ship a few months earlier, so I knew the basics

What ship and itinerary? and what types of suites?

This is just a guess, but I would say 2 and 6 would be the formal nights

I have seen from Tuxes and gowns down to sundresses and slacks

Do what makes you happy 🙂

Our group sailing the 27th, all suites.  I’m getting “antsy” for our concierge letters!  I’m assuming they’re emailed, correct?  First timers on RCL.

4-7 days out depending on the concierge.    Patience.

As long as you know that “formal night” is very informal.

For all of us it’s pretty formal! Not tuxes but suits and long, beautiful dresses for pictures!  We do that every cruise, and enjoy it!

I will sail out on Allure 8/20-27. Last night our letter came in introducing concierge.
Schedule wise- I have not found much via laptop- but- using Ap on my cell phone everything is visible from activities, meals, themes...
Our week specifically info is as follows:
Our formal nights are Monday & Friday.
Theme wise:
Sun: Casual

Mon: Formal

Tues: Western

Weds: Seventies

Thurs: Caribbean

Fri: Formal

Sat: White
ALL of our ship booked tours have had time changes. Maya Key in particualr- a full 4 hour shift, so I expect there have been changes in all previously scheduled port times.
Have a great trip!

For me they used my old work email that i updated in my profile 3 years prior .

All other correspondence from RC was on the updated email address .

Somehow the concierge had this old email address , so i didnt get the email from them.

I phoned RC and straightened it out and had them make my reservations by phone.

If you dont get an email in the week prior to your sail date , give them a call .

We have always sent the concierge an email if we haven't received one 5-6 days prior to sail date. There is no good way to contact a concierge directly by phone unless you are already on board the ship.

The email for the concierge on Allure is:

AL_concierge01@rccl.com

I've never seen more than a handful of people participate in any theme night except for Caribbean night.

I guess we are not "joiners". We have never participated in a theme night in over 100 cruises.

Same (though not the 100 cruise part. Not yet at least).

I see a few dress up in 70s garb. A few for white night. That's about it. A lot more people throw on a Caribbean shirt for dinner though, yet still a significant minority.

We started cruising in 1981, where you dressed in suits five nights and Tuxes the other two. Now the closest we get to participating in any formal or theme night is sitting in the pub quietly laughing our a##es off at what people attempt to dress themselves in to fit the theme.

I make my own theme nights. Oddly, it's the same theme every night.
