Allure of the seas suite lounge

I just got my email from our concierge for our cruise this Sunday.  Previous info here shared there is free beer and wine from 11-11. I received the following in my letter.

Do they just not mention it?  Also, it says that it’s smart casual. Is that for dinner or does that also mean during the day?  Im

just wondering if anything may have changed.

From letter:

The dress code in the Suite Lounge is smart casual, so please make sure you pack accordingly.

Coffee and tea are available in the Lounge throughout the day.

Hors d'oeuvres, petit fours and complimentary wine, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are available for our Suite guests every evening from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The last Suites Concierge letter I received also did not mention the 11-11 beverage service.  I was also concerned but the 11-11 service was working just like always.  My guess is they don’t mention it in case they decide to end it in the future.  Won’t surprise me in the slightest…

We've never been told about the 11-11 drinks available.  They are just there.  My last Oasis sky class cruise was last October, so who knows what is available now.

IMHO the suite lounge dress code is evolving.  A nice pair or dress shorts and collared golf shirt was perfectly acceptable and seen often.  Is that smart casual?  Perhaps it is now.  I've seen an occasional grumble from suite guests, but not from the concierge.  Someone popped in with flip flops, gym shorts, and t-shirt and it did seem out of place.  However, they just got some snacks and left.  Perfectly okay in my book.  During the day, I wouldn't worry about dressing up.  DH takes slacks for the evening, but stuff happens and sometimes he wears nice shorts in the evening.  BTW....these were Caribbean cruises.

Last year I wore shorts and a collared shirt every day in the suite lounge and costal kitchen .

You couldnt tell i was wearing shorts when i was seated in coastal kitchen.🙂

Our last cruise had the same letter ahead of time but once on board the bar was open 11-11.  Everything except liquor was served complimentary.  As far as dress code, I think as long as you aren’t in pool wear you’re fine during the day.  Evenings I would say wear whatever you wear for dinner.

Same 11-11 drinks as always (was on Wonder in June).

Saw some shorts I'm not sure you would call "dress shorts" and t-shirts in the SL/CK at night, no one cared. Shorts and a polo are definitely OK these days.

Okay,, I would go into the suite lounge when I get in the morning to grab a cup of coffee.  In and out.  I'll put a cap on so no one sees bed head LOL!

I am a pretty casual person, but I do dress up in nice slacks and a nice shirt for dinner, but not during the day.  I prefer shorts and t-shirts.

Ask about the complimentary drinks.  Since they have a full bar in there, you may just have to go up and ask.

Cover your torso and your feet, and you're good to go there.  No bathing suits, even with a cover up.

Don't worry, CK and SL have gone the way of the MDR and are very casual these days.  We see shorts and t-shirts during the day but also at dinner.  We have seen star class families in beach attire, escorted in by their genie, seated for breakfast and lunch.  You will be just fine with bed head! 😄

Perfect!  My last read before we fly to Houston tomorrow. Glad to hear it!
