Quantum of the Seas coming to Los Angeles 2025-26!

Quantum has a what looks to be a 3 week dry dock in October in Singapore.  It will be interesting to see if they make any changes like removing Chinese language signage and the noodle bar, now that it's sailing from the US year-round

I doubt it.  The bilingual nature of Quantum is an asset allowing them freedom to redeploy her in the future.

I read a recent article that stated the shorter cruises are much more popular now. Royal is simply taking advantage of this current situation. The article also stated that the shorter cruises worked out better financially for Royal.

Yep, better for Royal. But, not better for me. Definitely skipping all these new short cruises. Plus, they are way overpriced.

I have the solo discount now, and I always book interiors. I have been on the Ovation multiple times, but no other Quantum class, so I can see me eventually booking a B2B or more. My daughter and granddaughter are in San Diego, so it would be an easy family cruise. She hasn’t been on a Quantum class ship yet, so an alternative besides Navigator would be an option. Plus, no flights for her, and I could extend a cruise to a visit to San Diego too.

I'm excited having another ship here , but not with the short itineraries.   Hope they do something about the parking too there isn't  enough room for more passengers.

Quantam is my less favorite of the 4 quantam class that I  have been on.  But it's great going from no ships here for about 10 years to having 2.

Why so?  I haven't been on any Quantum class ships yet.

Look at Princess.

Yes, we have done Princess to Hawaii roundtrip..4 times...2 out of San Pedro and 2 out of San Francisco.  Loved the ukelele and hula lessons...lei making and lectures onboard. Just hoping Royal Caribbean would do the same.

We've done the one-way Hawaii to Seattle and Vancouver a few times as well...with RCCL and Celebrity.

* 🥰 Hawaii.

I have been on all of the Quantum Class ships, except for the Spectrum.  They are all very similar, there aren’t any major differences.

I am hoping for a  15 day Hawaii  cruise  from  LA  on the Quantum.  A 7 day coastal  cruise  to  San Francisco,  Ensenada, Catalina, San Diego is good  also in the summer.

As if Royal wants my suggestions: Squeeze in a west coaster or two.

Some combo of any of these ports

Vancouver

Victoria

Astoria

San Francisco

Monterey (if they still can)

Santa Barbara

Catalina Matalina Upsadina Walkadina

San Diego

Ensenada U.

I am deeeeeeelighted to have the Quantum in SP!!  I just booked a 6 night Mexico today for October 2025.

If enough people ask for Hawaii, they might add it to their itineraries.  They aren't going to do that from the get-go, however.  They have to make sure it's gonna make money for them.

I've sailed on the Navi a lot since she came to SP, and the Quantum's itineraries do give more choices.

The one thing my TA and I noticed was RCCL was stingy with discounts, or they haven't got things completely set up for booking yet.  He will have to call and get my solo discount manually handled, plus there are no group bookings available to him yet.  I'm OK with all of it, because the rate I got is a good one, and I've got 20 months for the group rates to kick in.

This was quite the surprise to see that Quantum of the Seas is coming to Los Angeles to do short cruises.  I just booked myself a 3 day weekend cruise in 2025.  I love this class of ship!!  I'm not bothered that it only goes to Ensenada on my cruise, I'll still get off the ship to enjoy a delicious Mexican lunch at my favorite restaurant there, it's all about enjoying the ship for a few days.

Anyone else excited about this?

So sad it's leaving Australia.  Its going to Singapore to have a extension cord add so it can comply with L A environmental policy .

The itineraries leave a lot to be desired. Also, the prices are ridiculous based on the itineraries. Give me the NV any day.

I was pretty disappointed as well. I'll probably book one but only because it's convenient.

It probably going to be Californiacated ,so it should be something to look forward to before it leaves us.

I’m guessing you know that’s not the way they spell that word.

I was watching a porno the other day and that’s how it was pronounced.

I wonder  when it  leaves  Alaska if it will do  a  Pacific Coastal cruise.   I don't  see  yet  how it  is  coming  to  Los Angeles.

Deadhead repo with no guests.

Rather than trying to repo to Vancouver first so they can carry passengers to San Pedro it appears they will sail empty from Seattle to San Pedro so they are legal with the PVSA.
