When was your first cruise on Carnival?

Recommended Posts

Carnival Fascination - Dec 1995.
We cruised out of Puerto Rico and we went to St Thomas, Guadeloupe, Grenada, Aruba, and Caracas, Venezuela. (I don’t recall in which order.) But I was so enamored, that I was hooked on cruising ever since.

DH’s 1st cruise was Carnival Destiny Aug 2003. And he was hooked on cruising too!

Our 1st cruise? Carnival Legend from Tampa on 03/21/2010 in a Deck 4 Vista Suite.
It was for his bday & our Anniversary.  We walked into the Atrium & looked around, looked at each and both said,“Oh, Hell Yeah!”  We hadn’t even seen anything else, we both knew we were cruise smitten immediately. LOL

Just booked our 14th cruise for November 2024.  We will be platinum on it.🎉 12th Carnival Cruise We have 1 RCCL and 1 NCL done too. We’ve loved every minute (well almost)!  We are very thankful that we’ve had the opportunity to experience so much of the cruise life. My CPA hubs ran all the numbers, after #2 and we could live on cruise ships for less dough then we do now. pretty tempting. lol

Carnival Destiny 2010.  We swapped port order due to 3 tropical storms in the area.  Liberty which was supposed to be in 2 of the same ports as us on their 7 day cruise, missed 2 ports and only made Cozumel.

Mardi Gras 1974.

Me too - June 1974 - it was 7 night cruise - San Juan, St, Thomas & Nassau.  I was 17 and I thought Maegan’s Bay beach was the most beautiful place ever.

My first cruise was on the Holiday in July of 1985 to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, & Nassau. Patti's first cruise was for our honeymoon on the Sensation in March 1994 to Cozumel,  Grand Cayman, & Ocho Rios. 😎

We may have been on the same cruise. Somebody mentioned skeet shooting and hitting golf balls into the sea. Did you remember the horse racing on film? They reached into a bin, pulled a film and loaded it into a projector and took bets on that! I noticed that the tiny casino was closed the whole time. I think that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting were two of the movies. I was only 14 at that time.

First cruise was on the Sensation on 6/25/1995.  My next cruise will be on the Celebration and it will be my 28th cruise all with Carnival.

I remember when I was a youngster, I was so amazed that the early explorers (Like Columbus) could spend so much time on a ship.  How could they do that?  You add in my 2 years in the US Navy on the USS Boston and I now I know.

My honeymoon in June 1990 on the Festivale out of San Juan. Only ship on a stick I’ve won frog racing in the lido pool with the champion frog purchased in St Thomas on that cruise. Later this month, I head on my 25th Carnival cruise out of Dover.

Carnival Triumph, 5 Day to Canada from NYC in Aug 2009 and haven’t looked back since.

Switched to Princess for a few years before returning to Carnival in 2016 on the Sunshine and have been sailing with them regularly minus trying out some other cruise lines in between.
