Do you have a cruise theme song?

Recommended Posts

Our first family cruise was on December 20, 2009 on Explorer of the Seas out of Cape Liberty.  As we drove down the road and the ship came into view, the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feelin” started to play in our car.  Since then, we’ve played it as we drive into cruise ports.  Do you have an anthem for your cruises?

Not yet. Still trying to decide between "Whiskey in the Jar" by Metallica and "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" by Joe Nichols.

No cruise song for me.

Although before I started cruising, the Band Feeder had a song called Feeling a moment, that was used for a P&O cruises advert in the UK.

Now its a great song, but i wouldnt cruise P&O, ever.

After 32 years and 50+ cruises there wouldn't be any one song that would matter anymore. The sound of the ice in the glass of our first drink on board is the music in our ears......

Thanks for this.  Never heard of him nor the Fugs before.  And I thought it started with the Ramones.

Thanks for reminding me of the Fugs.  Great group.  Look them up on the WEB.  Some of their songs are unique.  This is their Wikipedia listing - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fugs.

I have different songs for different cruises.

. I have an upcoming music themed cruise with Christopher Cross as a guest, so his Sailing would work for that one.

. Come Sail Away from Styx works for general cruises

. La Isla Bonita by Madonna for the Caribbean

. Kokomo from The Beach Boys, also for the Caribbean

. Theme from Mahogany by Diana Ross for trips that include Mahogany Bay

. Jenny From The Block for trips that include San Juan

. Mexican Radio by Wall of Voodoo for trips to Mexico, especially up and down the Riv

. Going Back to Cali from LL Cool J for trips up and down the California coast

. Blame Canada for the cruise I'm on RIGHT NOW.

. Hawaii 5-0 Theme and Down Under for my next cruise after this one.

The Ramona’s began as the Tangerine Puppets.I first saw them as the Ramones in 1974.

I hate to think how much I spent on drinks in my 80 cruises in past 49 years.
