We're going to a ball game tonight and having a tailgate picnic before...trying to figure out what to pack.  @grapau27your food always looks so yummy.  I'm trying to figure out how to make a salad with some salmon.  I'll bake it with some basil and parmesan cheese.  My basil is growing nicely.  I'm also getting a few cucumbers now.  The best part of summer!

Happy Tuesday.  It's still cloudy here, no rain yesterday or today.  There may be some tomorrow.  We're going to a ball game Friday, so hoping there is none then.  Haven't been to the port, I'm not a pickle fan, the drink sounds interesting.  Not sure about the poetry! 😁  Looks like Denali NP is opening again today, that's great news!  We did go to the concert last night...the music was too loud and not our "style."  We left after an hour or so.  The group next week is one of our favorites, cant wait!  

@kazuyou sure have some busy times ahead, but won't it be great when it's all done.  After watching our neighbors move, it's motivated us to start some downsizing now.  They had a few showings before it was officially listed, no interest.  The price was lowered and it sold for 30K over the new asking price - the price they originally had chosen.   They had 1 open house and got several offers that day.  They didn't do any staging-just showed it the way it was.

Good afternoon from a cloudy day in SE Wisconsin.  The clouds are remnants of Beryl.  Rain is in our forecast for tonight, up to an inch, but I heard Chicago may get up to 6 inches, thanks to Beryl.  Stay safe everyone!  Hoping everyone in Texas is surviving the mess now.  It's hard to imagine no power or AC in this heat.  I'd like to go to a park concert tonight, the rain is supposed to come later.  @StLouisCruisersYour daughter sure has a gift when it comes to her tree!  It's beautiful!

We were in Fairbanks in June of 2019.  I was very impressed with the flowers up there.  We hadn't planted any here yet that year!  My pictures are similar to others.

More prayers for all in the path of Beryl.  I have an old co-worker friend in Houston, she says it's there now.  Over the weekend WI had a lot of rain and storms.  There was a dam that was breached not far from our up north house.  The dam was opened as far as it could be, but the earth next to the dam gave way.  There was flooding and evacuations, but all of the people were kept safe.  The videos look scary.

Good afternoon.  It's in the 70's here...just had a 5 minute downpour and then sunshine again.  DH, friends and family are at the Lake House...lots of rain up there today.  The fireworks are tomorrow nite, the forecast is good then.  The neighbor directly behind us had a 30 minute display of loud and big fireworks, Cooper was not very happy.  There is another house a few blocks away doing their show tonight.  They've warned people on Social Media...Yipee!  I did buy some calming treats at the pet store today.

For the "garden club"-We have several Easter lilies that are blooming, we replant them after Easter.  I've picked 2 cucumbers so far-lots of little ones starting to grow!  I love fresh 🍅 and 🥒...my favorite time of the year!

Happy Independence Day to all of my American friends!  We had lots of fireworks going on last nite.  Our dog is not real fond of them.  He just couldn't get comfortable with all of the noise.  Haven't been to the port.  Barbecue is good, I like country music.  I'll take a burger with ground beef.  Im baking the sourdough today...wish me luck.  I'm also making a loaf of Cinnamon Swirl bread!  I'll have to taste first before I share it with the people at the Lake House !  Thanks for the pictures and sharing.

Happy Wednesday!  Our city has fireworks tonight, my sister lives close to the park, so we can sit in her driveway and see them without being in all of the commotion and traffic.  The meal sounds good, haven't been to the port, thanks for sharing your pictures.  My DH is revising my sewing desk...it was too small for putting bindings on the heavy quilts, he's making some extensions.  

@JazzyVI'm trying your recipe for the bread today...we shall see. I added some basil and parmesan cheese...have to use some of my basil!  All of the recipes are the same, with little differences.  Thank you!

Good evening, it's been a busy day!  Thanks for all of the info today.  Thank you and prayers for all of the firefighters, especially the ones in Denali National Park right now.  Sad to think of the damage there, and all of the animals in danger.  We saw a Momma moose with 2 calves right at the entrance of the park, where the fire is now.  I don't know anything about UFO's!🤣  The fish sounds ok, not sure about the drink.  Also praying for people in the path of Beryl.  Our church has a sister church in Costa Maya.  They had bad flooding there a few weeks ago.  The pictures I saw were scary.  I'm sure it's very scary in all of that area now.

@marshhawkso sorry to hear about your not so good visit with DH's MD yesterday.  Hard to believe you have to book appointments so far out.  A friend told me the same thing happened to her DH, he's trying to find a new PMD.  Booking in 2025!

Good afternoon, it's around 80 and humid today.  Some rain is in the forecast for later.  We drove to the lake house this am....I think everyone is headed north for 4th of July vacations.  The highway was very busy!  

Thanks for the travel pics.  I'll pass on mud day.  I gave up on my camera...everyone was getting better photos with their Iphones.  I got an iPhone last fall, and I don't think I've used the camera since then.

Good morning.  Our forecasted high is 73 today.  It was 54 when I got up at 6am.  We have a quiet day today, nothing on the schedule!  DGD had her last softball game last night, lot of improvement from all of the girls!  

@kazusorry about the bad news from the chiropractor, hoping the surgeon next week can help you.

@Mr. Bostonsorry to hear DH is sick.  Good luck with your move.  I'm watching our neighbors move after 40 years...it's not a fun process!

Good afternoon, it's a pleasant day here.  Not so humid.  We did go to the concert last night, the clouds came and it was pleasant. 

We have a canoe at the lake house.  We did swamp it the 1st time we used it....we did save the drinks though!  It's been good since then.

Good afternoon, it's around 90F with a dew point of 74, kind of miserable outside.  We had a storm roll through this am and now it's like a rain forest! Our neighbors are moving after 40 years in their house.  The "junk" truck was here this am...they filled it to the brim.  As I was watching them, I decided we need to go through some cabinets and closets.  We filled one SUV with stuff to go to the donation center.  There's more to go, but it's a start! I've told myself, no more stuff for the house!  

The French onion soup sounds good. We stopped in Puerto Limon in 2023 on our Partial Canal Transit cruise.  We did the Tortuguero Canals and then went to a park and walked around there.  We did see a lot of wildlife on the canal ride.

@Cruzin TerriHoping your arm feels better. Our son-in-law tore his bicep tendon a few years back, he was in his later 40's then.  He had the big lump in his upper arm.  He chose to let it be, no surgery.  He had many shoulder surgeries during his younger sports years.  The lump is gone now,  and his arm works as it did before.  He's the one we call when we need lifting or moving help! (LOL)

Happy Monday!  It's a pleasant day here, but more storms are in the forecast for early tomorrow am.  Tonight is another soft ball game, the last one is on Wednesday...2 rain make up games.  We had DGD yesterday while her sister and mom were in the dance recital.  We had a fun visit to our zoo.  DGD was wonderful in the recital we saw on Saturday.  A few years back we were in a neighborhood park and spotted a fairy garden in the base of a big tree!  I had one in our yard for a while, but the succulent nest I had it in died.

Good afternoon, it's in the low 70's with an occasional shower here.  We had a tornado watch last night.  There were tornado touchdowns in a few areas about 45 minutes west of us.  I'm seeing damage, but no reports of any human deaths or injuries.  We went under the Suez canal when we traveled from Israel to Cairo.   The Detroit pizza sounds good.  I saw a recipe made with sourdough yesterday.  I might have to try it, even though it doesn't sound very healthy!

Good afternoon.  It's sunny but humid right now.  Storms in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.  Tomorrow is DGD's dance recital.  I think she's in 7 dances with 7 costume changes!  She'll be busy.  She's almost 11, and helps "supervise" the younger kiddos during their Off Stage time.  She has 3 recitals tomorrow, and 3 on Sunday.

My tomatoes and cucumbers are growing very nicely.  They have lots of flowers and I see tiny cucumbers.  My basil is taking off.  I made a loaf of sourdough bread with basil and parmesan cheese added.  It's too soon to cut into it, we shall see!  It looks pretty, hopefully it tastes good!  I need to go for a walk, have a good afternoon. Good afternoon and Happy Juneteenth, an important day in history.  I grew up in Milwaukee, and they are having a big celebration there today.  My former church participates in the event. 

It's another scorcher here today.  Thanks to all who participate here, I love the pictures!  Tonite is the season finale of Top Chef Wisconsin.  I haven't watched it, but 1 of the finalists has a famous restaurant in Milwaukee.  I think this episode was also filmed on The Eurodam.  The 1st episode was filmed at one of the big hotels that our Son in Law works for.  He watched the episode but didn't see much of the hotel.  I'm recording tonite...

My niece and her DH live in Tucson.  They saw the Spacex last night and shared a very cool picture!

@Nickelpennygood luck with your starter.  I began this journey in April.  I'm using WW flour for my starter, seems to be doing well.  I'm not having luck with the bread.  I've looked at so many recipes and videos...the starter and ingredients are basically the same, but some have a little different technique.  I'm trying to figure out the best way, but I think it's a big science experiment.  "Rose" came out of the frig this morning.  I'm going to try something new today.  This baker says she's doing what the pioneer women most likely did...their lives couldn't be run by the bread making process!  🤭  I'm sure their process was much simpler...they didn't have to post pictures on social media....they had to feed their families!

Good morning, it's another hot and humid day here.I went for my walk already...it's 78 with a dew point of 70!  Forecast is for a high of 90 today.  DH is outside doing his yearly trimming of the the bushes.  It's about time for him to stop.  I'm having lunch with our neighbor ladies today.  Our next door friends are moving to a 1 floor apartment at the end of the month.  

Haven't been to the port, thanks for sharing the pictures.  No to the drink.  I'll vote for stopping hate speech.  Happy Birthday to Clark Kent.  Never did watch Superman.  The recipe sounds good, but no oven today!

Good morning, it's around 55 this morning, supposed to hit 70 later.  The sun is shining and it's not so windy today.   Lots of small twigs and branches in the yard from yesterday.  DGD has another ball game tonite, may need to wear winter clothes!  I'm working on a sourdough loaf...it's not turning out.  The last time I did this recipe, it did...not sure why!  I think we have a quiet day today.  Besides the ball game, nothing on the schedule.  I have 4 quilts to bind

I like iced tea, and I'm struggling to find the "right" ball point pens!  The ink has to flow easily!  Haven't been to the port, not sure about the meal.
