Merion_Mom Posted November 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Well, here we go. I began this cruise by cheating. If you recall, I had to change cabins, but it was just a move from a D1 to a D2. And they are only six cabins apart. I moved myself this morning, and this afternoon I unpacked everything and put it in the EXACT SAME PLACE where it had been. My new cabin is not even the MIRROR of my old cabin. It is the TWIN, except for the TV and sofa. And it looks like I may have a little problem with the drain in my sink. Stay tuned on that one. Here is the cheating. When I moved six cabins closer to the elevators & the hump, I also changed from D18 muster station to D20 muster station. No biggie. I get downstairs, and............... D20 is in the dining room! While most of the rest of the passengers were outside freezing their butts for TWENTY FIVE MINUTES, I was sitting at a dining room table, playing on my phone. I mean, waiting for the drill to begin and then listening intently. :D

Merion_Mom Posted November 2, 2014 Author #19 Share Posted November 2, 2014 You can actually see the progress on the new terminal by comparing this picture to the one in my first thread. The walkway-gangway-entrance thingy (sorry about all of the technical language ;)) is now "ready", stretching from the building to where it will meet the Quantum. It was COLD today, and wet. The pool had the netting on, and there was barely a soul in sight. We left late, as most of you noticed on the webcam. But finally we started to slide away from Cape Liberty for the final time. It was very emotional, quietly passing the Teardrop 9/11 Memorial:

joand452 Posted November 2, 2014 #25 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Have a wonderful time! So lucky, getting to do the A-B-C islands. We've been to Aruba (x2) and Bonaire, so Curacao is definitely on the list. Someday when DH can take off more than 5 work days in a row!
