cle-guy Posted November 17, 2015 #276 Share Posted November 17, 2015 updated my 2 upcoming suites, a RS and RF suite, to the new program, no extra charge. Of course the only added perk in reality was the prepaid gratuities, since I already had $300 OBC since the suites have drinks and internet already. But I was surprised, it was an easy change, and no fare increase. These are for end of next year, 1 I booked on board in October (and kept the On Board OBC as well) the other booked with my TA 3 weeks ago just after O got home from that crusie. vtcruising Posted November 17, 2015 #277 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Cha Ching! We have a cruise that went from all inclusive 1,2,3 (classic package, no internet) in a CS, down $500 and go the above perks. Our other cruise in a CS went up $2 so not worth it and the third one we have booked is a repo so no option there :( Nice job! happy sailing, Jenna Thanks, Jenna! Wish it could have worked out better for you.
Rare uktog Posted November 17, 2015 #278 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Call the Captain's Club and complain -- tell them you booked with the perk of the free dinner(s) and you expect to get them. I called and was told that my account was noted and that I would receive them. It is a matter of principal at this point. Not to mention a breach of advertising standards in some...... CHEZMARYLOU Posted November 17, 2015 #279 Share Posted November 17, 2015 According to celebrity, it would have cost me $3000 to change to the new promotion, obviously not worth it in my situation. We had decided to book two celebrity suites for our next cruise. I am upset at the lack of consideration for the celebrity suites, i am personally happy that the sky suites are now invited to Michaels since i have always thought they should have been, but annoyed at the idea that we are now getting sparkling wine, which we have always gotten, a bottle of water and canapés, which again have always been part of the experience and losing our two dinners for our European cruise. I will still enjoy our cruise, this will not diminish our experience, but it is unfortunate to have that feeling of losing something. Bonedoc7, Agree with Jane, you need to let them know of your displeasure. I'm still waiting on a definitive answer & have a call into my CVP. I'll be calling the CC again to have it documented that I booked when the 2 free dinners were offered.

hulamoon Posted November 18, 2015 #281 Share Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) MY TA checked for me and said this: The CS and SS I booked last year for next year all lost specialty restaurants plus if I want Michaels Club for SS I need to rebook at current rate?!? Sorry, this is ridiculous. It is so ridiculous, I am thinking she must have accidentally spoken to the janitor or something. We already had drink packages on all of the above. WTH Celebrity. Obviously, your TA is wrong. Are you using JF or CC for these bookings? Send me a pvt msg elsewhere, you know how to find me, but she got bad info, no surprise there. hulamoon Posted November 18, 2015 #286 Share Posted November 18, 2015 I just confirmed with Captains Club all CS and SS are loosing the specialty dining benefit and everyone is SS gets MC without upgrading. She was not a janitor.

need2bespoiled Posted November 18, 2015 Author #288 Share Posted November 18, 2015 And still Celebrity does not come on and clarify. Glad to post good news; hide the bad news. I agree, it is very bad form. It appears they are either going to need to back pedal and rethink of have some seriously upset guests. They do take a long time to make management decisions, don't pass the word onto the operational responsibilities well and often don't empower their staff, or empower them unequally. This has been one of the best aspect of Michael's Club in general, the concierge is empowered to assist guests. Most complaints have come when this was not followed through on. Happy sailing, Jenna P.s. and this doesn't even include the bad form on the B,L,D debacle

Rare uktog Posted November 18, 2015 #290 Share Posted November 18, 2015 I have started another thread specifically about the restaurant perk- sounds like it was a classic bad form, tell them the good news about Michaels so they wont notice we have removed a benefit. I thought a separate thread might get some attention from the rep who only pops in with good news........ And lets not forget they have taken everything from CS and given them back nothing. I suggest all affected contact the cruise line either via their concerns@celebrity email address or on Facebook.
need2bespoiled Posted November 18, 2015 Author #291 Share Posted November 18, 2015 And the locally sourced food. Oh, we could go on. Luxury bath products have been gone since spring (but coming back). Frette robes/towels quietly disappeared (to re-appear on RCCL suite amenities). In suite spa services disappeared before official launch. At the same time, there are other unpublished benefit that do come in handy such as no fee cash at the casino. hulamoon Posted November 18, 2015 #292 Share Posted November 18, 2015 First I adore my TA and when I said she may have misunderstood, I am not saying it was her error. Sorry for the poor word choice earlier. Second, I cannot see how taking this away is sensible, nor can I see how they save money by doing it. I always figured that as one of the great perks of SS and I Can't even imagine how usual CS people are now feeling about this.
Hflors Posted November 18, 2015 #293 Share Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) How many people does Lumerea seat at one time? Hoping for a small venue. Edited November 18, 2015 by Hflors
Gordoncruickshank Posted November 18, 2015 #294 Share Posted November 18, 2015 How many people does Luminae seat at one time? Hoping for a small venue. It is supposed to be big enough that there are enough tables for all - I think I read 80+ covers.
Rare C-Dragons Posted November 18, 2015 #295 Share Posted November 18, 2015 It is supposed to be big enough that there are enough tables for all - I think I read 80+ covers. Not always. We just got off a B2B Med/TA on Silhouette. One morning on a sea day, every single seat in Luminae was occupied for breakfast. It took forever to get served, and the staff were a little overwhelmed. I can't imagine what it's going to be like on Reflection next year, as they have even more suites.

When we were on the Eclipse I would say that the tables near the desk were busy but not the ones behind the partition.

This is my first time on Celebrity we have been on other cruise lines. Thanks, Ed If you do nothing to your booking, you will get: Michael's Club Access You will loose (unless something changes) Free specialty restaurant. I would suggest seeing if you can rebook your cabin under the new promo at the same price, or slightly more, if you can, you would add: Premium instead of classic package Unlimited free internet Possibly additional OBC and pre-paid gratuities. Jane2357 Posted November 18, 2015 #299 Share Posted November 18, 2015 Please call the Captain's Club and tell them you are unhappy losing the included and paid for specialty dining. I did and they have assured me that mine will be given to me and that cruise doesn't sail till 2017. You don't have to accept this.
