No more DD on Anthem

Let me get this straight~~If the rumor holds to be true if you have MTD you will not be able to experience Chic or the Grande:confused:

 

And the menus will all be the same? or will they continue as they were???

 

 

Having been on the Quantum it was such a nice feature to be able to go to the different venues with their unique menus.

 

Personally, i wouldn't miss the Grande, but for some of my family members i'm sure they would have liked to try at least once. They will be on Anthem for the 1st time this June 30th:eek:

I suspect that any sort of announcement about changes in Dynamic Dining will come out at the same time as the rumored changes in the Crown & Anchor program.

 

It seems to me that RC does not get good information out of focus groups or other ways of measuring customer reaction to changes, such as Dynamic Dining. Perhaps the number of people involved in focus groups and surveys are too small, or somehow don't reflect the overall customer base.

 

Or, perhaps people say they want evening dining to be like NCL, but after the experience, they decide they like traditional dining in an MDR better.

 

Clearly, the idea of Dynamic Dining was meant to mimic Freestyle Cruising on NCL, and also improve the variety and quality of food. If you have 6 or 8 venues offering different menus, food preparation is probably less like the banquet-style preparation of a traditional MDR and more like an expensive restaurant.

 

One thing that I thought could happen, and perhaps it is, would be passengers simply booking the same restaurant every night, at the same time, and requesting the same table.

 

If people aren't moving from restaurant to restaurant, it probably creates some problems in getting everyone accomadated.

(A) they let the cat out of the bag too early; (b) it is a load of rubbish but someone somewhere sat down, compiled and formatted that announcement......where did they get such specific info from..... ??? Such as "making up" the info about Solarium Bistro..??

It takes about 2 seconds to go to a website and edit it IF the info is incorrect. That has not been done.

Royal sent out a tweet around noon today saying "Heads up! Royal caribbean will change anthem of the seas to traditional dining". I saw the tweet around 1:30 and the link was already removed.

 

It sounds like someone jumped the gun on the official announcement.

This may sound strange, but the experience on board is what keeps us coming back. If the on board experience was the WCCF that the shoreside folks keep having, we would have stopped cruising with them long ago.

I'm on Anthem 4/30, I'm also diamond plus waiting to see what changes will be onboard 5/1, I'm also Casino Royale still waiting for the new program, with no idea what to expect when I get onboard, and I'm booked on Empress June and July.

Our last family cruise was on NCL'S Breakaway. We were blown away with the different venues every night and anytime we wanted. It was amazing. On our Anthem cruise in October, is another family cruise and we were all so excited that RCCL was doing the same. NOW, with all of the whiners and complainers it's GONE. Barely even had a chance. NCL has been doing this for YEARS AND YEARS and they are great at it. No one even wanted to give RCCL a chance to perfect it. So, to all of the complainers YOU WON.

 

I don't think they would make such a drastic change because of complainers. It either didn't work logistically, or financially.
