St Paul Girl Posted December 24, 2016 #451 Share Posted December 24, 2016 I too will be able to be offer some insight on Club Class after our 11 day cruise on the Emerald on the 21st January. We are looking forward to seeing how it works. We didn't pay very much for being in Club Class only $200 p.p. extra so we are going with very open minds. Jennie Ours was about the same, for our 14 night cruise, when we booked, the Club mini was about $300pp for the cruise. It is a lot more now. Looking forward to your critique! Murphey Posted December 24, 2016 #452 Share Posted December 24, 2016 It's all in your perspective. $200pp or $300pp is a lot more money to some (me!)

I don't think it would be so much for you these days as the $200 was in Aussie dollars which are only worth two thirds of your money unfortunately . :) Jennie
caribill Posted December 24, 2016 #454 Share Posted December 24, 2016 There is another thread where there are posts from soneone who had CC on the Ruby. o Yes, separate entrance on the starboard side o Yes, immediate seating o About half the tables reserved for CC remained unoccupied while the line for non-CC passengers to get into that anytime dining room stretched into the atrium area o Printed menu was identical to the non-CC menu except that it had a different cover. o There was a single additional item available for cooking tableside. And of course the "best" part: Only CC passengers were allowed to eat lunch in the dining room on embarkation day. Someone with a clipboard had the names of CC passengers and if you were not on that list, you could not enter.
Nashna Posted December 24, 2016 #455 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Looks like Princess is going back to their old style for those dining in CC. This was from another post in Princess Forum from a passenger who just returned from a sailing where they experienced Club dining. They were full suite passengers so we still don't have a report regarding Club Class room amenities. Quote: Originally Posted by Murphey View Post Critterchick: Thank you for your report. He used real flames, too, something we haven't seen in years. And a Caesar salad with enough garlic to drive off every vampire on the planet (it was fabulous). I usually take some food porn photos, but I was too busy stuffing my face to remember to do that. Mafig, the table placement didn't seem all that different from the regular section of the MDR. There were maybe 8 tables for 2 along a banquette, but we were never seated directly next to anybody. There were a few two-tops all by themselves as well. They guarantee that you can sit at the table you want when you want without waiting. Other than one family of four who wanted a particular tablet that needed to be bussed, I didn't see any delays. I'm going to reduce my original table estimate to 30 from 40. As I re-counted in my head, I think I over-estimated the number. But it's still just a guess on my part. koko1 Posted January 21, 2017 #458 Share Posted January 21, 2017 Now it could actually result in more spots in traditional dining being available, due to passenger in the new class being in ATD, when some of them may have normally requested traditional. I would not assume all of the new Club Class is booked as ATD. I am booked into Club for 3/19 on Regal & I have 2nd seating. Not clear how it will work. BTW only booked in Club as I got an amazing price on group space. Had no idea what the perks were.
koko1 Posted January 21, 2017 #459 Share Posted January 21, 2017 I just got off the phone with Princess. I was told the new Club Class dining works exactly like regular dining. If you are booked into early or late seating you come at those times. If you want ATD you must specifically request it. Again, I was told ATD work exactly the same as it does now & reservations are recommend. The agent seemed very disinterested in answering my questions so I can't attest to accuracy. You may wish to call on your own & see what kind of answer you get. If you do, please post feedback.

koko1 Posted January 22, 2017 #461 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I don't think thats correct. There are a few comments on other CC threads about real time experiences over the last month. I agree that I was most likely given misinformation by the Princess Rep as I got a strong sense she did not know what she was talking about. I did a search but I could not find anyone who had specific experience on Regal or Royal. I did find a few people on smaller ships who had actually used CC. As they described it sounds like ATD without the wait. It does say traditional dining on my booking even though I am identified as having a CC cabin. If you are in a CC cabin (M1 or Suite) - your Princess Personalizer now offers a choice of Traditional Dining (with dining time choice) or Club Class Anytime Dining. From our original bookings - we as usual selected Trad 600P - but after the transition to CC we made the online change to CC Anytime which shows on our booking docs & for us the best of both worlds. JMO - but I believe a number of the CC passengers who originally had Traditional Dining - will make the switch to Club Class Anytime Dining allowing for more Traditional (fixed) Dining time slots. Chief02 Posted January 23, 2017 #463 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Lanwood I'm curious on the number of status credits that are received on the new clubclass minisuites. I would assume, having not read anything to the contrary to date, that as it's a minisuite (with perks) it would still be one status credit. However, I noticed on this thread that a poster has stated they had 2 status credits showing on their personalizer, while another poster said they had 1 status credit showing on their personalizer. Does anyone have anything concrete as yet (short of waiting for cruisers on the Ruby or Emerald to return later this month...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just did a double-check at my Princess Personalizer for our Feb Regal B2B M1 Club Class bookings - don't know if this is concrete enough - but ours show as one (1) credit per person per cruise segment - already Elite so not that important for us. I just checked my Cruise History and my Future entries show 1 Cruise Point per cruise that we booked for an M1 Cabin. We are Elite, as well, and already get the majority of the bene's, so I'll take my extra $$$ down as an upgrade to the experience and not the Captain's Circle ranking. famski740 Posted January 23, 2017 #464 Share Posted January 23, 2017 (edited) If you choose Club Class dining in your personalizer, it will show as Club Class Confirmed. I just did mine for the February 28th sailing on Royal. "Similar to restaurants, dine with whomever you like anytime from 5:30pm – 10:00pm in our Club Class Dining Rooms." Also, everyone keeps saying that Club Class is M! but my booking documents and all information for this cruise shows me as M6: "Royal Princess, Lido deck Club Class Mini-Suite Stateroom L108, Category M6" Edited January 23, 2017 by famski740

We are in an OS on the Pacific and comfirmed for 6 pm Traditional. Since that ship does not have ATD I wonder how they will implement CC dining. I think I will leave my personalizer alone and deal with it when we are onboard.
caribill Posted January 23, 2017 #466 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Also, everyone keeps saying that Club Class is M! but my booking documents and all information for this cruise shows me as M6: The M1 and M6 are both listed (and are the only ones listed) as premium (and Club Class) mini-suites on the Royal. Before Club Class, the M6 was the highest category mini-suite. What are now M1 cabins used to be some of the MA cabins.

Thanks! The choice was not there yesterday but is there today. I was able to change it. to CC. BTW I told my TA what the Princess Rep told me so he called also. Essentially he got the same story which was totally wrong. The Reps do not just make things up. They work off a data base & all calls are monitored. What this tells m is the information they are working with is either wrong or very confusing to interpret.

I'm not clear on whether or not CC uses their separate MDR area for breakfast and lunch also, or do they mix with the other passengers in the regular dining areas for those meals? If so, do they have to wait if there is a line, or do they have walk-in privileges as at dinner? Grego Posted January 26, 2017 #474 Share Posted January 26, 2017 I would buy into this if they guaranteed that the two top next to me was further away than 6 inches. It doesn't take much to make me happy. I laughed at this because you are right, you get a two top and you might as well be at a table for 4 or 6. Close enough to carry on a conversation and too close to get out of your seat and leave the table.
crows nest club Posted January 26, 2017 #475 Share Posted January 26, 2017 On our previous requests we have asked for a two CHAIR table. These are usually up against the panelling or the transparent room dividers. Have to wait and see what CC dining has available.
