This offer shows up for my Blue card but not for my Gold card.

So is this offer good towards making payments on an already booked cruise? Final payment for my Equinox cruise is due in a week or so and I had been planning on using my Celebrity Visa for final payment for the OBC, but maybe I can put $500 of the final payment on my AmEx and the remaining balance on the Visa so I can get the $150 statement credit and the OBC? Hmm. Has anyone done that before?

I often make partial payments on cruises so as to not be hit with a big final payment. You do not need to use the same card for payments. I would, though, make the $500 payment a day before the visa payment.

worked for me on my rewards gold card.

Was NOT on my Blue or Hilton amex.

You DO have to log into your on-line account with American Express and find the offer on your card and register for it. The credit is NOT AUTOMATIC until you physically register for it on the Amex website. And it is targeted, not all card holders will get the same offers even on the same cards.

AMEX had the Royal Caribbean offer several weeks ago and I was able to use that one on a shore excursion and specialty dining, so no guarantee on this one but I assume since the same company owns both cruise lines it would work. Only says not valid for gift cards and onboard that I can see.

The offer terms as posted above...

Offer is valid on bookings made online at celebrity.com or via phone through Celebrity Cruises or your Travel Professional. Valid only on US website.

* Spend on board not included.

* Excludes transfers/transportation to the ship.

* Excludes gift cards and electronic gift cards.

* Excludes Corporate Sales.

* Excludes Celebrity’s Fortune app, Gifts by Celebrity and the Onboard Experiences on website.

Valid only on reservations for customers in US, including Puerto Rico, Guam and US Virgin Islands.

I took it to be the "Onboard Experiences on website" as excursions and therefore I don't believe that you will the get the credit for those - I read this as it's only for "reservations" meaning deposits / payments

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!!! :D

I've seen people getting these offers for a couple of years and it was never on any of our Amex cards but lo and behold it was on my Amex card this time!!!

We have 2 Celebrity cruises coming up with final payment due in October so this is perfect!

(I'll still put the bulk of the payment on my Chase Sapphire to get hte cancellation insurance, though.) ;)

My husband just checked his Amex and he has the offer too!

We have 2 upcoming cruises and Celebrity refused to give us the $100 off for B2B cruises that they advertised so this takes the edge off that.

Thank you Amex!

Yes I just did this with two different Amex cards on cruise I booked a few days ago. I made 2x $500 payments using each Amex card.

I have a cruise booked for September 2017. Does this offer mean if I make an additional $500 deposit that I will receive a $150 credit on the following statement (or two)?
