For those joining Silhouette she is in beautiful condition. Lawns have been greened up over the past two weeks. 9b87078e0ae70c021278156fa8285c23.jpg

Thanks again so much for posting Jim Iain! It's been great following along with you on your cruise. I've been at an event for work all week so I'm just getting back to catching up.

Wishing you a wonderful last day!

ENJOY!!!

Jim Iain ~ was thinking about you this evening as I stapled our luggage tags on that say SILHOUETTE! Thanks for taking care of her for the past two weeks and for keeping us up-to-date on your adventures. Loved every minute!

Hope our paths cross on a ship some day!

Thanks SO MUCH for checking to see if Taz was still onboard, I really appreciate it. He may have moved onto another ship, or gone onto something else.

Really enjoying your review & your pics are just great. Hoping I can talk my DH into doing a trans, but will have to wait a year or two! :)

Birishlassie I have known Taz for about 10 years he was on the TA Silhouette 2015 and last I heard he was on the Millie April 2016. He is a great guy!!!!

Arrival at port Everglades and sadly I must end this great crossing. We met so many wonderful people.

It will will be difficult to return to the real world where when you pass someone on the street and they don't greet you with a smile and a warm good morning. 8fdeeed6a819f008224520879b645517.jpg

Disembarkation was a breeze. Walk off started at 7:00. We dropped into Michaels Club and regular disembarkation was slightly delayed. At 7:30 Niko escorted a small group of 8 off the ship. Red tagged luggage was awaiting. Group one was waiting in a roped off area awaiting their luggage to be off loaded

No lines in customs and we were through and in a cab in about 5 minutes.

For those that asked Terminal 25 had a special Global Entry line. Just a quick welcome home and we were through.

Cab fare to airport was about $13.00 and I gave the driver a 20 due to his handling 4 Bags.

We of course are early and the airport is starting to get busy. At 9:15 saw a shuttle from Silhouette and luggage tags 2 and 3. fea6664cb09123592e5487f0f0848e45.jpg

Jim Iain thank you for taking us right to the end of your great cruise. I enjoyed every picture and every post.

I am envious of all who board today and wish we were among them.

Wish you a smooth transition to the everyday world.

Jim, could you let me know if they are offering the Reidel wine class? We did this a couple of times, once on Summit once on Silhouette but it was a couple years ago. Thanks!

Janet - I believe the contract with Reidel has ended. I am sure some cc members more knowledgeable than I will confirm. I have not seen a mention of them. As a matter of fact, Iain asked our sommelier if the glass he brought was Reidel and he said no and then explained why he was using the particular glass for the particular chardonnay.

They have been offering wine tasting and as many have noted the pressure to upsell is rather strong at times.

The Reidel tasting was indeed offered in Cellar Masters, hosted by the Luminae Sommelier, Ivan. It was our first experience with the glasses and we're hooked!

Janet524, RetiredArmySgt and HostAnn. Hope you have a wonderful cruise. The ship is being prepped. The lawns are perfect - not a bare spot to be found. I have never seen such lush growth.

Ivan used to be the sommelier in Blu (2013). We really liked him; I hope he's staying on board for a while and isn't among the crew who are switching out after the TA.

Thanks for the info. Will definitely take advantage of it. When we did it the first time we were skeptical, but the difference between the bar glass and the proper Reidel glass was remarkable. We are converts! Welcome back and safe travels home.

Glad to hear that other's more knowledgeable than I knew of the Reidel tasting was offered. I missed it in the dailies an don't recall seeing an invited to it.

I agree that Ivan was a great Sommelier.

Great review and pics! Was on the same cruise, so it's especially interesting to hear/see things I missed. Thanks!

Would be nice if you posted your experiences also if they were different than ours. I'm sure each of us see and do different things. We are late diners and really don't like to go to shows early so did not see any of them.
