Looking at the 600 point numbers you are most likely correct that there will be a flood of new pinnacle members in the next 2 to 3 years if they cruise multiple times a year in suites.

I know we do and or points range anywhere from 55 to 75 a year.

^ Yup...ditto. ;)

The same might apply to yourself if RC decide to make SL for Suites only and Pinnacles can join D+ and D in the DL or (overflow or not).

No worries since neither my husband nor I drink alcohol and the only time I visit a lounge is during the day for a cup of coffee.

Sounds to me you are all for C&A members bumping out Suite Guests.

I think Royal should set Status by $ spent with Royal. Easy to track.

How to lose customers. Ludicrous idea.

Already paid to get on the ship and you want them to spend more to get benefits. They'l better drop the initial cruise price then.

Not going to happen

I have always said, if you want Suite perks or treated like a Suite Guest, book a Suite.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for being a suite guest and spending so much money with Royal.

It makes my $300.00 cabin SO much nicer.

It included cabin pricing. Why shouldn’t someone who pays more for their cabin get more pts? Also, dollars spent On other activities with Royal. Casino, Speciality Dinning, Royal Excursions, Ships tours, Park West, shopping onboard, photo packages, beverage packages, renting Flow Rider. Very easy for Royal to track.

But is that money spent on that single cruise or total all cruises, or as was hinted to earlier the total spent earning that status? Those of us that spent most are ones that cruised 20-30+ years ago. In 1988 A single 7 nite cruise for 2, on deck 2 with a tiny Port Hole cabin spent over $3400+

Is that spent since I started cruising with Royal?

For a start

Casino gives a royalty when you spend loads

Park West and photo labs are private run as is shopping. Why should they give you a discount.

That leaves dining, which is overpriced in the first place. Ask how many would use it if they didn't get the free one.

Not every ship has flow rider, so that's a flaw

Drink package, they are trying in every corner of the ship to sell them, not cheapen them.

I'm sure I will have some of this wrong, so apologies in advance

3 drinks with a few hours of free drinks which they state what drink you can have isn't the b all and end all.

Nice perk but the lounge for breakfast and to use during the day for a bit peace and quiet with a cup of coffee is a better perk for me.

Not everyone has the same desires. Happy it works for you though.

LOL!! :D:cool:

And what would happen if everyone were told they should only book suites? How much of the ship would sail empty?;p

While Clelebrity is not rewarding customers with points for on board spend they certainly are giving vastly different amounts of points based on the cabin category that you book.

Stateroom Category Club Points Earned per Night

Inside/Ocean View 2

Veranda 3

Concierge Class/AquaClass® 5

Sky Suite 8

Celebrity, Signature or Royal Suite 12

Reflection or Penthouse Suite 18

Not a bad system.

Only sailed once but got extra for being cc class. Got Elite through Royal

The level numbers are a lot different. I think Elite starts at 300 and + at 750.

Not so the staff know the Pinnacles they were on the ship last week.

My response referred to who would be given access to the lounge if it were a choice of suite guests or pinnacles. I think suite guests would. Because the staff knows many of the pinnacles it doesn't mean it likes all of them.

I think the name Suite Lounge gives the answer.
