Rare kazu Posted April 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Thanks Peter for the reminder. Sad that sail a way season is nearly over. I have a suspicion we will be on board waving for what might be the last HAL sail a way from FLL. :D ;)
jhannah Posted April 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Wow! Seems like we just finished with Alaska not that long ago! Here's to watching Juneau!

Daisyloo Posted April 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2018 I'm hoping that people on this sailing on the Zaandam will report on all the changes from her dry dock. We will be on her in July and I'm itching to know!!
Himself Posted April 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Hard to believe the ships are heading to Alaska already.
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 14, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2018 We had our first cruise ship visit for the year here in Victoria, last week. Westerdam was due to dock at 1 p.m., but didn't make it until around 5 I think it was, and had to make three attempts before she could dock, because of the wind. She made the front page! Rare rafinmd Posted April 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 14, 2018 I expect to be be here, internet gods cooperating. I also hope to get a look at Neiuw Amsterdam in person on the 18th as we should be meeting somewhere in the canal (and hopefully the Zuiderdam as well). Rare kazu Posted April 14, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Going to be here for sure except when I have to go pick up the dogs at the groomers. Have to get those winter coats off before they go to their "home away from home" while we are cruising. Timing should be just right, I hope (yn)

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 14, 2018 #17 Share Posted April 14, 2018 So it won't be much of a "parade" - I guess the winter sail away fun is pretty well over. Just everyone don't forget the Prinsendam sail away on May 5! :D Mark your calendars!
travelnap Posted April 14, 2018 #18 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Checking In. The weather there is much better than what we are having. We have blizzard warnings from early this morning until tomorrow morning. So far we have been lucky in our area, just a few inches, but really strong winds, and it is a very slow moving storm. Some areas in the Dakotas and in Wisconsin might get close to 2 feet of snow before it is done. Most of the interstates are closed in the Dakotas because of the blowing snow. Just another lovely spring day in Minnesota.

I'm now doubtful with a 4:30 galley tour (5:30 PE time). Roy
