My first cruise (and my dw's) was our Honeymoon in April 1999 on the Majesty of the Seas.

In May 2019 our Venice Croatia cruise aboard Rhapsody of the Seas will be our 14th cruise. Some with RCCL , some with Carnival.

1995 on Carnival-My parents sent me, who graduated from college, and my sister, who graduated from HS as our graduation gift! :o;p:'):') My upcoming cruise will be my 6th cruise but first with RCI.

We took our first Disney cruise back in 2010 on the Disney Wonder. I found a 3 night cruise for $750 (oceanview cabin on 5th deck) that included soda for my family of 4. Unheard of now!

'99 to Alaska on old Dawn Princess rt via Vancouver. I was 5 and this is my earliest memory.

The pool water was cold, this is before they were heated, and my parents had bought me a battery-powered seal that scooted on the ground and borked. Ship-wise, I can really only remember the baked Alaska parade

October 1999 ,Celebrity Mercury. Blame Jane Mcdonald for us choosing the cruise line though it was the sister ship we were on not the one where she was filmed for the fly on the wall programme.

We hated it !!,

We went home and did more research, this was before the days of internet, hard copy brochures all over the living room floor , a flow chart later and voila, a week on the new Voyager of the seas was booked for March 2000. We were hooked.

Our first cruise was on the Disney Wonder in 2003. Before that, we really believed the old saying that cruising was for the "newly wed and nearly dead". However, we were (and are) Disney fanatics so we decided to give Disney Cruise Line a chance because it had Disney characters and shows. Since then, we have been on 71 cruises on 6 different cruise lines, of which 39 have been on Royal Caribbean.

1976 Chandris Britanis. Everynight was formal. There was not a buffet on the ship. We rented our deckchairs which were labeled with our cabin number and was placed in the exact spot we had chosen on the first day.

Roundtrip airfare was included with the cruise. On the way down, we checked our luggage at our home airport and didn't see it again until it was at our ship's cabin.

On the way home, after we cleared Customs and Immigration on the pier, our luggage was placed in trucks, taken to the airport and we didn't see it until we reached our home airport.

Chandris Amerikanis in 1986 for us. Rare to hear about this line! Southern Caribbean out of PR for our honeymoon. Very old ship, but we had a large stateroom with huge bathroom. Great service, with a new island to explore every day. We were such newbies but did get hooked on cruising!

Home Lines "Oceanic" from NY to Nassau in 1970. For quality & variety of food the best I ever experienced. From service to Maitre D cooking your special dish by table side. Also, can't forget the bountiful nightly midnight buffets.

Oh to go back to those years.

2014, P&O Oceana 4 day taster. Both myself and more importantly the missus loved it, and have since done a Celebrity Fjords cruise and then 4 RCI cruises.

Being casino addicts, the reason we have done RCI since cruise no 3 is because we get a discounted room etc

I will whisper this, but the best casino was on the P&O ship purely because they had a live singer/music every night in the casino which made the atmosphere brilliant. But you cant turn down a heavily discounted cruise even if the atmosphere is a bit dull in the casino lol
