Yes now we do, sorry mis typed earlier.

No problem.  I just wanted to clarify.  ☺️

An earlier poster had this issue as well, the size of the cabin not being what they expected.  The advice since then in this thread has been to avoid balcony to balcony upgrades.  In your case, I know you were hoping for a larger cabin.  The one for the 'spacious balcony cabin' seems to be the wrong pic to many of us here.

I hope you enjoy the balcony.  Don't know if it's your first, but for us, there was no going back after the first one.

We are on 4 night Navigator in August.  Originally booked 2 JS, 1 was an upgrade from a casino comp, the other was with the casino discount for an additional cabin.  Put in upgrade bid 7/10 $400 total for either a Grand Suite or Owners Suite.  2nd cabin was upgraded this past Wednesday to an OS and I just got notification my cabin was also upgraded to an OS.

We were originally in a Oceanview no Balcony. We are now in room 8332 which looks to be just a normal spacious oceanview room.

I agree that the picture was very deceptive.  Nevertheless, you did get exactly what you bid on, a Spacious Balcony cabin in category 2B.  They call it "spacious" because it is a 199 sq. ft. cabin.  Ordinary balcony cabins (categories ending in "D") are only 184 sq. ft.  In spite of the deceptive picture, going from an Oceanview cabin to a Spacious Balcony cabin for $200 is a great deal.  Not only did you gain a balcony but you have a midship location on one of the quietest decks on the ship.  No ordinary Oceanview cabin has that good a location.  I suggest that you enjoy the cruise and forget about the picture.

Have two cabins inside on the Mariner Aug 19   still showing as guarantees   No insides listed sold out.

I got one email for the cabin for 2 to bid  but the cabin for 3 nothing.   The link above says it has to be 30 days well it is 29 and the link did not work for either reservation

No inside left should I hold out and see what my guarantee gets me????  Thanks

So does the offer for Royal Up just come magically?  How do you get it?   I haven't received noticed on my past two cruises.  Others got it on my roll call, but not us.  I noticed many of them were in outside/inside/balcony

Are they not typically offered if you're in a suite?    I love priceline, I want to play in this RCI version, but they never ask me!

We’ve been offered for three sailings now, while in a Jr Suite. Do you get promotional emails from them? I suggest checking your junk email (someone on our cruise found theirs in the junk folder). Also, check the email (used for RCI) of both people in the cabin. Sometimes the other person gets the invite. Apparently RCI knows I’m the only one that checks email, because I get the invites. 😂

I have seen a few comments from people in a GS being invited to bid, so the invite does go out to people in Suites. I don’t know if you’ve seen in this thread, but there is a place on the RCI website to check if it’s available for you to bid within 30 days of sailing.

Hope you get an invite!

Ok, we got our e-mail and would like some cc advice.

We booked an XB balcony guarantee and do not yet have our room assignment. Here are our options...

Spacious Ocean View Balcony - $100 pp

Junior Suite - $200 pp

GS - $400 pp

Oh, sorry! Forgot that part.

Anthem in the fall for 5 nights to Bermuda

I would not bid on a spacious balcony.

The JS is a bit steep for us for a 5-night cruise.

Thanks! I thought so too. Wasn't sure though since its our first RCL cruise since they put the RoyalUp program in place. We will probably just stay put.

Update! I received my Royal Up email today for the 2nd leg of our Navigator cruise. I bid $175/pp for a GS and $225/pp for the OS. I got the OS. We will have to change rooms, but that is ok!

I got notified three weeks early.

Your rejection generally comes during last 24 hours

My 8/24 sailing on the Symphony is 33 days out. I’m waiting to see if I am lucky and if any of my minimum bids on a GS, CL or OS are accepted. I hope I hear early enough to either buy or cancel other amenities such as the drink package or the Key. Did anyone else on this board make bids on this same sailing?

Question: I just received a RoyalUp offer to upgrade to a GS or OS -but RCCL's website says there's no GS or OS available to book on our cruise.

So why are they offering this upgrade, since apparently all of the GS & OS inventory has already been sold?  Am I missing something here?

First, I don't think Royal's website shows the entire picture of stateroom inventory.

Second, I think some of this is market research on Royal's part.

Interesting...

So not sure why Royal's booking website wouldn't try to sell me a GS or OS if inventory is available for purchase.

But your second point makes sense -perhaps just gauging how much folks are willing to spend on a GS or OS upgrade, even though there's no inventory!

Are there any other suites available?

How far out are you?

All it takes is one suite at the top to become available to trigger an avalanche of movement.

If it happens, Royal has a game plan to fill that suite.

Not sure why some folks can't grasp that.

Go to any Cruise Insurance thread and see how many folks say they've cancelled in the last week, and were fortunate to have insurance.😉

JS, GS 1bdrm, GS 2 bdrm, OS

50 days until sailing

Makes sense about that avalanche effect -RCCL gets those late cancellations, then have everyone's queued up to fill those vacancies!

I've received the email twice in a suite.  In both cases although my email is associated with the reservation, the 2nd passenger received the email.  I receive all RC marketing emails.

We're on the same cruise. I got the Royal Up email at day 40. We're in an Aft balcony on deck 7. We could have bid on a spacious balcony, JS, GS or a 2br GS. We only bid on the 2br due to those being on the aft too. I put in a weak bid only because the corner aft has a huge balcony. I haven't heard back yet....
