bob brown Posted January 18, 2019 #301 Share Posted January 18, 2019 Another great day at sea, capped off with my first dinner at Polo. My idea of “health food”... 🙂
BulldustHHH Posted January 18, 2019 #302 Share Posted January 18, 2019 I see they used a touch of greenery to decorate the plate ... quaint.
Paulchili Posted January 18, 2019 #303 Share Posted January 18, 2019 Was it as good as it looks? If you did not have it this time, make sure you try the jumbo shrimp cocktail next time - one of my favorites there along with the crab cake.

I’m sorry to say it, but I’ve had better, in sister-line NCL’s “Cagney’s”. It was a generous 32 ounce cut, and juicy and flavourful, but I had to trim too much gristle from it.... more like a rib-eye than a porterhouse. Next time, I’ll try the filet mignon. Jumbo shrimp? I have that ever night in the main dining room as an appetizer.😉

Similar but different in the two venues lol. Enjoying reading along with this thread, thanks everyone for taking time to share your journey with the rest of us!

But if I'm having steak at home that I get from the local butcher shop I prefer a ribeye or NY Strip.

Filet is better but the overall quality of steaks in Polo has declined over the years, IMO

palakika Posted January 18, 2019 #310 Share Posted January 18, 2019 ilsun...Thanks for the lovely pics of Cartagena. They bring back nice memories of an enjoyable city. We went to a fort overlooking the city and a museum where they had a cultural show. Very colorful! Our guide was very good too.
dritan Posted January 18, 2019 #311 Share Posted January 18, 2019 Cartagena looks amazing. Thoroughly enjoying this thread. Comfortably predict a part 2 will be required. Looking forward to all the others joining at different stages but you're all doing a sterling and selfless job so far.

They have a special project coming, where we will all contribute to a giant canvas with photos to form some kind of mural, and later auction it off for a charity.
