Do you get them at D+, or is our stateroom attendant just being nice? We got those on Explorer 10-5 and were in a balcony cabin. We are D+. We bring all our own toiletries so didn't use these RC toiletries. Edited November 2, 2019 by grapau27

Rare aring75 Posted November 2, 2019 Author #305 Share Posted November 2, 2019 Last week a wash & fold bag of laundry was $24.99. This week it says $34.99. Wondering if that is just for the President’s Cruise or if the price is going up fleet-wide.

The champagne was for all returning guests on my sailing, or at least, so I thought. I was gold and got that on Symphony in August.

At first, I felt the same way. I really like it on Anthem where you ordered an entree separate from the appetizers and dessert. However, it was nice to sample smaller portions of more than one item as well. Given the option, I prefer to order the main course, but this way was still nice for a change. You are absolutely right about breakfast and lunch. It’s basically Windjammer Lite. But I like that they take you to a table, so I still prefer it over the main buffet area. 👍 Thanks for pointing out the differences. I didn’t think to make note of it for anyone following along. 😊 Thanks for the info on this we have this reserved but finding that the entre is not served I'm going to cancel & either just do MTD or a speciality. Do you think it's hard to get in MTD early on the last night without a reservation?

Rare aring75 Posted November 2, 2019 Author #315 Share Posted November 2, 2019 Watched a few ships sail out ahead of us. Missed the first Carnival ship. suesnake2002 Posted November 2, 2019 #317 Share Posted November 2, 2019 Yes that was a small black bear. Most can be scared off with banging pots. Or barking dogs.
Bronx12 Posted November 2, 2019 #318 Share Posted November 2, 2019 Enjoying your review, thanks for doing this 🙂 We aren't cruising on Symphony until March 2020. If you have a chance, could you possibly find out when next year's President's Cruise is, and on which ship. Thanks a lot 🙂

Not to sidetrack this thread but here in my neighborhood in SC we have both bears and gators 😲. Coming from NJ, the country area with all kinds of wildlife, it was quite the shock to see both here, would have never thought we would see the things we do here just a little ways from the beach. Thanks for the great review, we are sailing in Celebrity soon so this is a great warm up for us. Enjoy!

If you get daily coffee (I am assuming specialty coffee like espressos, iced etc.) but you cannot get them at Cafe Promenade... where do you get them "throughout the ship?" We have the beverage package so we’ve just been getting CP coffee. From what I understand, there is still a machine in the Diamond Lounge, but you can also ask for a specialty coffee at breakfast (e.g. in the MDR, buffet, etc). I’ll see if I can make sure this is accurate.
Rare aring75 Posted November 3, 2019 Author #324 Share Posted November 3, 2019 Yesterday, I left you at sail away. We watched from the balcony as we sailed out of Miami, losing sight of the coastline. We very nearly finished off the bottle of champagne and enjoyed just how good it feels when you are lounging on a balcony headed out to sea, the warm breeze blowing, the muffled sound of the music playing pool-side...I probably could have slept right there. But we had dinner plans.
Rare aring75 Posted November 3, 2019 Author #325 Share Posted November 3, 2019 They brought out bread service ahead of the meal. It was not the traditional sliced bread and butter that we were expecting. Beef Carpaccio appetizer Caesar Salad This is the 9oz filet. I’ve had great successes and tragic failures with regard to Chops steaks. This one was sublime.
