MrsPhoenix91 Posted November 29, 2019 #301 Share Posted November 29, 2019 My husband and I booked a 5 day cruise for November 30, 2020. We are checking out the Voom Surf & Stream with 2 devices package. Is $95 ($19 per day) considered a sale?

I’ve definitely seen it higher than that.
HMY624 Posted November 29, 2019 #303 Share Posted November 29, 2019 No deal for ANYTHING on my cruise that sails in February 2020. I actually got better prices on some stuff before today. Another "fake sale". Pretty disappointing!
ATG Posted November 29, 2019 #304 Share Posted November 29, 2019 I saved about $50 on internet for my May Liberty cruise. The UDP didn’t change.
Merion_Mom Posted November 29, 2019 #305 Share Posted November 29, 2019 These are not "fake" sales. They are sales which were not profitable for YOU. That doesn't mean that it isn't a good price for someone else. Nor is there any promise, anywhere, that ALL things will be on sale.

2Long2NxtCrz Posted November 29, 2019 #307 Share Posted November 29, 2019 This is an example of why you have to know what things cost. The Deluxe Beverage Package isn't a deal for either of my 2020 cruises, but the Beach Club at CocoCay dropped from $54 to $39. So some savings. I do wish that we got the prices on the drink package that we used to get on Black Friday, but it's still a good deal. Again, it's a matter of knowing your price point and what things are worth it to you.
luvsvacations Posted November 29, 2019 #308 Share Posted November 29, 2019 I am looking at the Adventure of the Seas for June. Is the current price better or will it most likely be the same in a few days. Thanks
Ken at the beach Posted November 29, 2019 #309 Share Posted November 29, 2019 Unpredictable. You can always cancel and rebook if the price drops
Goodtime Cruizin Posted November 29, 2019 #310 Share Posted November 29, 2019 For us.... $55/day on Wednesday to $51/day now. This after the so called 50% off sale! 9 days x $4 = $36 x 2 people = $72 savings. It isn't much but it is something. We took it.

Marginal to no discounts disguised as huge savings pretty much across the board

When the price stays the same but the % of the discount they offer that day is different. That IS a fake sale. Do you really believe they change the price onboard the ship every few days to make those percentages real? 🙄 Edited November 29, 2019 by Casino Comp Chick

Zephanor Posted November 29, 2019 #314 Share Posted November 29, 2019 I can only share that on OotS for a Sept 2020 cruise there were no actual price reductions that haven't been in place for several weeks. I'm guessing it highly depends on the time of the sailing, the ship as well as who has purchased what for that sailing. Gonna keep an eye open through Monday to see if there's any change, otherwise I'll check each being sales period.

I only saved $261.62 on the excursions. Every little bit helps. I previously caught 2 price drops on the cruise. The first was for $642 and the second was for $407. Someone posted a thread on CC that there was a "sale." I checked it out and fortunately it affected my cruise. I am happy to take the $1,310.62 savings since booking the cruise.

Nextcruise42 Posted November 30, 2019 #318 Share Posted November 30, 2019 Beverage package on Jan. Anthem is the same as I paid back in August $45 (nice). My Oct. Oasis is still high however I almost missed a $600 price drop on my booking. It pays to keep checking!
DSJ28 Posted November 30, 2019 #319 Share Posted November 30, 2019 Are the photo packages per cabin or per person? The black friday sale offers a significant savings (down from $249 to $119) - and if that's per cabin - i'll grab it.

tcneal Posted November 30, 2019 #324 Share Posted November 30, 2019 The Deluxe Beverage is still $61 for Oasis in March. It has not dropped below $60 for this cruise. I did grab Voom S&S 2 Devices for 17.99/day which has been the lowest I've seen for this cruise. I had it booked before Black Friday at 22.50/day. Also looks like excursions on Labadee were lower in price. I doubt if other ports will have any discounts.

The UDP math has been incorrect on our Cruise Planner for quite some time. I wanted the reps to realize that the cost advertised, $20 per day X 14 days, did not equal $336 and correct their advertising - one way or the other. That’s all! THEY were the ones who couldn’t grasp simple math and kept bringing up their Black Friday sale. Did you take into account the 18% gratuity?
