Wait a minute. John didn't mention the ground-rules.

That's because there aren't any this time.😁

Just hold off on CATS, I'll get to that in January on Oasis.🐱

Ask anything, post anything within CC guidelines, have fun.

Lets get this done before Christmas

Easy Peasy

And here are the best cabin photos I could find via Google.

Not very impressive. I hope I can do better.

So the reason I decided to do this is to provide better pictures/descriptions, and to verify the suite privileges associated with this suite. There was a lot of confusion initially.

One last little tidbit that I found odd.  We actually got a balcony discount of $276 (they always round up) on this voyage. So we were all in at $1,950 with free tips and $100 OBC

Deck 12 Forward, 38 cabins and a spa😁

The interior entrance to our hallway.

Now it's not the dbl glass doors on Deck 17 Oasis, but it was nice.

Approaching our suite. Hallway is really wide up there.

Our temporary address.

And our door magnet.

Laura felt the peephole was ridiculously high

Opposite end of the hall headed to jogging track.

Major wind tunnel

There is also a door to the jogging track at the elevators

Much easier to open, it's automatic😉

Vitality Spa, my happy place

Stairs if you feel the need to exercise

Here are the two doors viewed from the jogging track.

Above us is a vast unused sun deck. And I'll get to that later as well

Solarium pool is right below us. Probably around 7:30 AM on the first sea day

Easiest access would be that set of stairs above

And the path to the VCL and my morning coffee

Late afternoon cocktails as well.

I walked this path a lot. Fairly windy on many days

That's it for the night, see you tomorrow

Rocket launch in 6 hours🚀😱

Now these suites used to just be big family cabins. 👨‍👩‍👦

And then one day, they decided they could make more money if they called them suites.💲💲💲

Luckily John booked it right before that change.

I just ran into it one day on the web site.

Now what is odd is the fact that it showed up over a year out with no restrictions on occupancy.

The price was good, I really don't need a balcony, and we had the bunk room setup on Freedom family suite 11+ years ago, so I knew it would make Laura happy.  Apparently I snore really loud, so separation is a bonus. Happy wife, Happy life.

The suite perks are nice, even though we really don't need them.  I'll go over that later as well

And to add when the pricing first came out and they were called suites you could book them as refundable.  Don't know if that is still the case

I really like the area up there. It was well used on our cruise last January. It is a relaxing area removed from the noise and commotion of the pool deck.

What is awful about the internet?  I am wondering if I should cancel it for my Feb trip?  I like to stream Netflix at night, would I be able to do that?

I would not depend on that, at least without a good amount of buffering/pausing.

If you are lucky. The last time I was on the ship it was often very slow and sometimes I couldn"t connect at all.

I didn't pay because it was one of my C&A perks. But my guess is that people who did pay didn't get refunds. The system was not broken, it is just bad. As John noted earlier the system is slow. It has not changed since last January.

Sounds like the DL is nice then??  Not a fan of the windowless DL on deck 4 on Oasis Class (other than convenience before shows).  I'm guessing that any TA will be C&A top heavy and all lounges will be full (would be our first TA).  Sorry for the hijack John.  Figured I could trust your first hand report.

The DL on Adventure is very nice, with great views during the day. The picture below was taken at night so you can't see the view but it is very similar to that from the adjacent Blue Moon (formerly Viking Crown) Lounge, which was used as the happy hour overflow area on our Thanksgiving cruise.

I can't comment on the suite lounge as we didn't qualify for entry to that one.

Put in 4 people.  Not sure if it is on all sailings but I know on several you can only book them with 4, they won’t even allow 3 to book.

Just tried booking for 4 people and they still don't show up. Quite odd unless they have all sold out in 2 days.

What specific date?  I just checked on the travel agent website and they are available for several sailings.  Could be an issue with Royals  consumer website.

Thanks Fiona.  If I understand, there's no actual bar in the DL and wait stuff must go to the Blue Moon Lounge to get drinks, and they sometimes overflow into the Blue Moon...correct?  We prefer to hang out at the bar rather than sitting in chairs.

No actual bar, correct. What they did (on our cruise at least) was to bring drinks (bottles, cans, mixers, etc.) into the lounge and set them up on a table which they put at the end of the counter you can see on the right-hand side of the photo. There's a little alcove there that they used to make a make-shift bar. So you would get the drinks from inside the lounge and then sit anywhere either in the lounge itself or in the Blue Moon. The door to the DL was secured open during happy hour and the concierge and her staff were checking seapasses as soon as you got out of the lift during those times, since it is not possible to physically block off the access from the lifts into the Blue Moon.

I believe if you complain soon enough after you buy the package, they will refund the cost to your onboard account.

Sounds like an expensive oops.

Around 85 million USD as I understand it

This was the last Starliner test before sending crew up. 👨‍🚀

SpaceX may have the upper hand now.
