Jcol5786 Posted January 30, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Hello, I saw it mentioned recently in a thread that RC will pick up your large bags from the hallway on the last night and send them directly to your departing airport. This sounds like a great service for us as it would allow us to walk off first thing in the morning of arrival. Do you have to have arranged your flight through the Air-Sea program or will they do it for any passenger? Also if your cruise ends in Miami but are flying out of Fort Lauderdale as we are will they send your bags to FL airport even though it not the closest airport? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Ourusualbeach Posted January 30, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2020 (edited) It varies as to ship offering this. Has nothing to to do with Air 2 Sea. Only certain airlines participating. You will I’ll get a letter in your stateroom during the cruise if it is available. Edited January 30, 2020 by Ourusualbeach
sellwingri Posted January 30, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Depending on ship, it’s offered in Ft Lauderdale, Miami, Port Canaveral, and Seattle.

Good question, I know Southwest does not fly out of MIA so if its available for SWA at Miami port then maybe they do
Grandma Dazzles Posted January 30, 2020 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Excellent program. It’s called luggage valet and is available through certain airlines. Highly recommend.
Rare fletch1027 Posted January 30, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Looks like Miami isn't an option (unless this RCI FAQ page is out of date). stevea36 Posted January 30, 2020 #11 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Be aware that this is usually not offered for early flights. They get all of the bags on a truck and drive them over en-mass. If you have an early flight (usually before noon) you need to take your own bags.
Sunshine3601 Posted January 30, 2020 #12 Share Posted January 30, 2020 We use luggage valet whenever we can. Flight can be either fll or mia Flight needs to depart after 1130 am There are 5 or 6 airlines they coordinate with. American southwest and jetblue I know are among the list. It is 25 pp Nice to leave bags outside cabin and not lug around till you get off plane back home.

TNcruising02 Posted January 30, 2020 #16 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Wow. This is great! We have a late afternoon flight out of Orlando on Southwest. It would be wonderful not to have to deal with our checked luggage.
Vacation...Yes Posted January 31, 2020 #17 Share Posted January 31, 2020 I emailed RCCL a few weeks ago about luggage valet as we have always used it in the past & loved the convenience. We are sailing on Symphony 11/14/20 out of Miami. I was told that this service is not available on Symphony of the Seas... major bummer. We’ve only ever used the service so now I have to figure out the whole pick up your own luggage thing 😞

Judyrem Posted January 31, 2020 #19 Share Posted January 31, 2020 (edited) I love to use it. However I am silver medallion on Delta and get upgraded quite often. They don't upgrade in this program. Edited January 31, 2020 by Judyrem
