When to Email Dining with Special Request

How soon before our cruise should be email the dining department with any special requests? I don't want to bother doing it too early, but I don't want to wait too long either.

I always Emailed RC dining dept. about two weeks prior to our sail date when we use to do TD. My request was always honored.

The dining department will not accept any correspondence earlier than 2 weeks prior to embarking

If we have any special dining requests we always do it two weeks also before the cruise and usually get a reply within 48 hours confirming our request.

Same here - usually send request in the two weeks prior to and they usually respond with 2 to 3 days.

I made my request 3 weeks and 1 day before my cruise and received a response 5 days later granting my request with a table number.

I just made a request for my March 28 sailing and they’ve already confirmed it to be good.

No, with a package you can't make reservations in advance unless you are in a suite.  When you get onboard and make your dining reservations, just tell whomever you are using to make the reservations that there are x many for your table.  Before the check comes just tell the waiter how you want the check split etc.  We've done it on Allure and Harmony and plan the same for Symphony.  If you are not on an Oasis class ship, the policy may change, but I have no experience using the UDP on other ships.

Thankful for this thread that reminded me, since i forgot. We are sailing Monday; I sent an email yesterday, and they booked it and got back to me this morning. So less than a week out was still ok. I usually do 2 weeks to the day.

No. they won't book your spec. dining. you do that once on board
