Thrak Posted March 18, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2020 We are not affected by this round of cancellations but, if we were, I would take option 2 - 100% cash refund + 100% FCC. Not a question in my mind.
rlbeck Posted March 18, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2020 Option #2, now waiting for the charges refunded to CC and the 50% FCC. We did put a hold on a sailing for next year. Fingers crossed all works out.....
Northumberland Posted March 18, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2020 We went for option #2 and then changed to option #1. We have our sites set on another cruise early in the new year and the 175% will pay for everything.
billco Posted March 18, 2020 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2020 Option 1. I have three cruises booked later this year that I can apply the FCCs to. I assume Princess provided that option because they need to hold on to as much cash as they can. Princess has provided a lot of good times and memories over the years. Hate to see them go bankrupt.
Aus Traveller Posted March 19, 2020 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Option #1. I am an optimist🙂.

Fill out the form on the link that Coral supplied. You have to apply for the extra Future Cruise Credit.
Potstech Posted March 19, 2020 #10 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Option #1. Already have a 10 day cruise set up for December.
Sea Hag Posted March 19, 2020 #11 Share Posted March 19, 2020 We optimistically chose option 1. I think that'll work out.
casavaha Posted March 19, 2020 #12 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Option #1. I booked the same cruise, South America that I had to cancel. I have been with Princess for 69 cruises, I do not intend to abandon them now. Things will be back to normal, the stock will go up. Greg
karylrocks Posted March 19, 2020 #13 Share Posted March 19, 2020 We chose #2. We don't cruise that often and this was our first cruise booked on Princess. We will probably book again but possibly not before the expiration date of the credit.
StrawberryHill Posted March 19, 2020 #14 Share Posted March 19, 2020 We chose option #1 WE did not have a lot of $$ wrapped up in the March 28 cruise. We will roll it over to future cruise this summer ( fingers crossed )
satxdiver Posted March 19, 2020 #15 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Since we booked the same cruise but different ship for 2021 (at more $$$) we chose #1. At least the extra 75% will help cover the increased cost of the same cruise only a year later.
antsp Posted March 19, 2020 Author #16 Share Posted March 19, 2020 I chose option 2, the reason being our daughter was sailing with us on the sky, unfortunately she won’t be able to sail in the next few years so even though we were all on the same booking and cabin she would bet the fcc
Castaway Cowgirl Posted March 19, 2020 #17 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Option 1. Rooting for the cruise lines.
Albinroo Posted March 19, 2020 #18 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Strangely enough, we were only given option 2. We booked directly through Princess, but in Europe. Anyway, we would have probably used option 2 either way, I really want to go on a Princess cruise but the prices available now are much higher than the cruise that was cancelled (Sky Princess transatlantic). In general I think most cruise lines have pretty high prices right now.
Rare Coral Posted March 19, 2020 #19 Share Posted March 19, 2020 I chose Option 2. I had a month long cruise planned that was pretty $$$ for me, the most expensive cruise I had booked. I didn't want that much in FCC over the next 2 years. If it had been a 7 or 14 night cruise, I would have chosen Option 1. Plus, the trip I was on this year is not being done next year. riffatsea Posted March 19, 2020 #20 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Option 2. We have 2 more cruises already booked but want money back now for our March cruise. Will deal with paying for future cruises when the dates get closer and we wee what's happening at that time
Rare Cruise Raider Posted March 19, 2020 #21 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Even though we cruise often and do have several future bookings on Princess, we choose option 2. Why? Because the difference of 25% more wasn't very great for us .. our cruise that was canceled was an incredibly great deal. And ... I am kind of a bird in the hand type of person. Also, we have some Princess gift cards we need to use up and lastly, we have an Alaskan cruise booked for the end of August and there is too much uncertainty around the Alaska sailings this season. I would hate to keep kicking that can, or should I say, FCC down the road. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that Alaska cruise is still on and will be disappointed if not but, que sera sera!! Life will go on ... God willing!!
Rare Tak8 Posted March 19, 2020 #22 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Option 1. It may not be May, but I'm optimistic that sometime during the summer ships will be sailing again. I'm planning on a December cruise.
Rare roxievegas Posted March 19, 2020 #23 Share Posted March 19, 2020 If our Alaska cruise is cancelled (due to sail May 16th) we would go 100% refund. We still want to do the cruise, but I don't want to tie up the money with future cruise not knowing if and when it will sail again. our plan is to book something within a 30 - 60 day window and get the cheapest price we can and go

jdaviespa Posted March 19, 2020 #25 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Chose option #2 back on 3/13 for our 4/5 sailing. After seeing nothing refunded since then I called Princess today who said it could take up to 30 days.
