A few of the family pictures we had done. It was a sunny day and all my glasses have Transitions lenses. I talked about popping the lenses out, then forgot. Oh well.

Gazebo is done!  We had a great day with lots of laughs & so much food so wonderful to be together & our normal goofy selves. Melody

Great photos -- looks like you had a lot of fun, and now you have a new place to relax!

Christy - great family photos.  I do have to say that the first thing that popped into my head when I saw your son was "Alex P. Keaton." 😜

Picked up my cooler.  Exact same size and footprint as the old one.  But this one actually seals up when you put down the lid.  Mine hasn't done that for years.  I'm going to give it a test here this week - add some ice and probably drinks and see how long the ice stays and the drinks keep cold.

I did stop by TJ's. Picked up some salads and fixings for the week.  They also had a new soup in the refeigerated section - Chicken Ginger Miso.  Sounds good so I picked up one.  I have to say - this was probably the lowest total I've had there in a long time!

I didn't see that. And he's my *grandson*. Yes, I am that old.

Christy, great family pictures! I bet it was so special to be together again.

Kat, glad that your TJ total was not shocking. I went a few days ago, didn’t buy nearly as much as the last several trips and I did not buy any meat or alcohol this time. Was totally unprepared for the “bottom line”. Still can’t figure out how I could have spent that much! Guess I’ll just have to adjust my expectations!

OOTD it’s raining off and on today  and several degrees lower than our recent temps so jeans and a long sleeve top.

Melody, congrats on your beautiful new gazebo!  I love your family pictures, looks like a really fun bunch :)  Beautiful family!

Christy, same thing, what a lovely family, & lucky, you all have long legs (says the lady who's only 5'3" ;)

it's been overcast & a little chilly here, hopefully we will warm up this week:)

Melody, the gazebo looks great, looks like your family had a fun time putting it up! And I know what you mean about your son, when our son’s marriage fell apart I didn’t think I would ever see him happy again.

Wonderful family pictures, Christy!

Kat, sounds like your camping trip was a success but I have to agree with Lois and Sharon about camping.  We camped  a lot when our boys were young as it was an easy, fairly cheap adventure for us.  In 1994, we drove from Indiana to Yellowstone, camping all the way there and back  for 14 nights.  We always did tent camping with non electric sites.   Some great memories from our camping trips!  But now I prefer air conditioning and comfy beds, preferably on a cruise ship!😂

Typical day for us. I am getting ready to do my walking then we are going over to the beach for a few hours. So after walking, OOTD will be a swimsuit and coverup.
No makeup or earrings😂

Have a great day everyone!

Sherri🙂

Our son has been going they a nasty divorce (are they ever civilized?).  It was so good to see him being himself again.

Melody, it's difficult seeing your kids in pain no matter how old/young they are...nice to hear your son is getting back to himself :)

I hope you know I meant that in jest.  I just remember the Keaton family on TV.  I thought that was what Alex would wear for a casual outdoor photo, It's cute.

Ugh.  It' dark, gray, and snowing.  A good day to just curl up on the sofa.  OOTD is sweatpants knee pants and a Tshirt.  Anything else is just too much hassle.  '

Hi girls,😃  well, I went shopping and got a few new things.  I will be able to use them for my July cruise.

If any of you have a Belk nearby, they seem to have continuous sales (as most stores) but I was able to find some cotton capri's that will work great for walking around Greece.  Gloria Vanderbilt and they were all 40% off. 🙂 Got a pair in navy, brown, a white and periwinkle stripe and a lightweight denim.

The denim is not heavy at all and the stripe feels almost like seersucker, and the darker colors are lightweight cotton. Then I drove to the Chico's outlet and got 2 tops and a pair of black cargo ankle pants. (lightweight material as well).

I haven't mentioned it lately, but I know I have gained weight and am tired of trying to lose and had to go up a size in all the bottoms. I am to the point I really don't care right now.  They all fit...had to get an XL in everything where I used to wear a large. My backside is where I seem to gain......😲 the butt area.

And my tummy.......both sides have gone up..........oh well.

Guess we fooled you! I'm only 5' 4" tall. However:

Hubby is 6' 4"

Older daughter is 5' 9"

Younger daughter is 5' 6"

Grandson is 5' 1" (at almost11!) His mom is older daughter--her father is 6' 4" and his father is 6' 10", so there is some genetics at play there.

Granddaughter is average height.

Melody - love the finished product!  Now you all need to buy a Solo Stove to finish it off.  2 of my neighbors have them and I'm jealous.   And, whoever is wearing those red Jambu Mary Janes, she has good taste!

OOTD:  I guess I'm heading down to REI to pick up my new cooler.  So,  probably my Army Green Vuori ripstop pants and a Tshirt.  High 50s down there and it could rain.  Rather go today since it may snow tomorrow.  I may amble down to TJ's while I'm in the Valley - I can't help myself.

Programming note:  on CNN tonight, there are 2 reruns of United Shades of America.  Excellent series.  The new season starts next Sunday, I believe.

I don’t know what a Solo stove is. We do have a propane fired fire pit. Oldest Daughter has the Jambus on. We both got them at Costco last summer. I have grey & navy

bonfire.solostove.com   Portable wood-fired fire pits.  My neighbors set them up on their driveways when we have our "socially distanced" evening get togethers.  But, you already have a firepit...

My Jambus are my travel shoes.  Put on a dress and I'm good to go anywhere!  Or, wear them with a pair of pants.  I have one pair of black Jambu maryjanes that I wore for work when I had to wear "business professional" clothes.  So very comfortable.  I've had multiple pairs since 2007.

Going to be another yucky day here - overcast, gray and rain and possibly snow again.

Cynthia, you said to ask If I had questions........I was reading about hotels in Athens over on the Greece forum.......I didn't realize the Intercontinental is not near "downtown"......did I see you say it is 2 miles away?  Although my TA is picking up the tab, do you think I should stay elsewhere? Just wondering how difficult it will be for me to get around for the afternoon. (I am only staying 1 night).

Lois - I have been a travel agent for 45 years, so, yes, lots of experience.  If you want a great location in Athens, look at King George Bretagne.  It won’t be cheap but it’s a nice hotel in an excellent location..l

Well, after all the going back and forth.........and forth and back......I am just staying at my original hotel and will let the cruise line take care of my room and all my transportation.🙂.  I have been in contact with a private tour company and will probably take an afternoon tour with them......they can actually pick me up at the hotel.  I feel good about my decision and I think Intercontinental will be very nice🙂

Sounds like a good decisions & use of your time for a short stay (& very nice that your TA is paying :)   )  If you were there for days & doing DIY exploring I would say stay closer to a metro stop, but getting picked up & escorted sounds very nice indeed!

Last night instead of running or hiking my husband Just did a little walk to through the park & back... so nice to be out without the masks!  Everyone had such big smiles on their faces :)

did a little work this morning in bed lol, now I'm semi off for the day, I have a zoo reservation & then might shop a bit... haven't done in person clothing shopping in a very, very long time!

On topic OOTD:  long silk blend dark grey skirt, sleeveless dark grey silk blend mock turtleneck top, hat & black birks....earrings & mask only for indoors ;) yea!

Got my second jab today -- woo hoo!!!!   We had a longer wait than the first time, but it was soooo worth it.

Unfortunately when we got home we found our AC is not working -- and it was supposed to get up to about 84 degrees today. I guess it could be worse. They will come tomorrow morning to fix it. But now I'm not sure if I feel hot because it's hot or because of the shot. 😂
