Than you for everyone' kind wishes. We are ploughing on and in a strange way taking the opportunity to do nothing at all and not feel guilty about it .... if that makes sense.

Looking at that beautiful photo of the rainbow reminds me of Wales - just beautiful.

For some reason I have a sudden urge to research hotels in Lake Garda - shame no one does a cruise and stay in the the Italian Lakes

I have seen in the past some of the online cruise specialists offering cruise and stay holidays with venice sailings and Lake Gearda stays.

Have a safe trip down and a great cruise. A few posts from your voyage would be much appreciated.

Great drive down, arrived 11:30am, delay parking & son’s pre-booked PCR test hasn’t been verified so he’s had to take another. Now waiting for the result, hopefully not much longer.

Could be worse, the queue for LTF’s is now huge.

Another cold day, temp around 5C with a wind chill on top of that, not a day for doing odd jobs in the garden. The greenhouse was warm at 25C, the insulation doing its job. Set up the capillary water trays for the seed trays so will be watered whilst we are away at the end of next week. Did a few other cleaning up jobs whilst in there.

Came in for a tea break, went out and lawn was covered with pigeon feathers, either we have a streaking wood pigeon or one of the local Sparrowhawks paid a visit during tea break. That’s the 3rd pigeon in the last 3 weeks, you would think by now they would stay out of our garden and go next door but one where there is at least some tree cover. Then again they are a bit dumb they sit on top of the bird feeders which are enclosed in squirrel proof cages try to work out how to get at seed, they still haven’t learned that they can’t access after 5 years.

Another P&O mail shot this morning in the form of a card, 3rd mail shot this week, we are sticking to our plan of not cruising until 2024, after seeing the LFT queues at Southampton think it was right decision, no LFT needed to get into Wales.

We are home after a lovely week in Cornwall. However on Thursday we started getting cold symptoms, which didn't really surprise us as most of the people on the bus were coughing. The bus was full as was the hotel so we had said we would be amazed if we didn't get covid. We usually go and see MiL on Saturday who is in a care home, we said we wouldn't go anyway regardless of our test result. So with some trepidation took the tests, mine shot up to the letter C as usual and the red line appeared, nothing on the T line. Logged into the NHS site to log the results and as Mrs YP was reading out the ref number she said I had a faint line appearing on T which darkened after a few more minutes, any way we both have covid so looks like a quiet week at home. We both felt better this morning so hopefully just mild cold symptoms, mine isn't really much worse than the side effect of the first jab. The up side is that we will build up some natural immunity which will hopefully protect us through the summer. Apart from that we had a great holiday.

Sorry to hear your news. Hope you have mild symptoms and recover quickly.

We have just travelled from Leeds to London on the train, girl in front of us coughing lots so we moved seats.

There seems to be a lot of dog crap about today :classic_unsure:

Providing they put it in one of those bins provided and not just leave it .

I always make sure mine goes in the bin and I don't even own a dog :classic_unsure::classic_wink:

That's what we did in June 2019, it was our last cruise before our world changed.

Most people go on holiday and come back with a suntan and a stick of rock Phil😉

I hope you and Mrs YP recover quickly. Take care.

Well after 2 years of avoiding 'IT' us Prestos are now stuck in the house for 5 days having tested positive yesterday. To be honest we thought it was a cold but today it feels like a really bad one and we are not taking it for granted. Looking back and thinking of others, if this feeling like a very bad cold is as bad as it gets we will be grateful. Someone had suggested we travel over the border to our caravan to hibernate there but that didn't feel right so we are staying home. The cat is more than happy.

Looks like a very lazy weekend from us then ... just hope we don't get the energy to check the holiday sites out too much as this could be an expensive 5 day isolation!!!!!!

Sorry to hear you and Mr Presto have tested positive. I hope that you recover quickly then you can recuperate in your hide-away in Wales. Take care.

When Mrs YP phoned her mums home to explain we would not be visiting we were told her mum and several other people have covid and the home is locked down but she just has cold like symptoms too and seems fine.

Was -1 first thing and although largely sunny has remained cold all day. Popped up the A1 this morning to do a food shop at the M&S there as I really fancied a change of food. Hopefully it will be the last time I drive 12 miles to M&S as our new one on one of our retail parks opens at the end of the month.

Had lunch and watched the early game of footy on TV and then popped out to the local Majestic to do a wine shop. They had some good bargains today.

Hope Damian and family don't have too long a wait in that hideous queue outside the Ocean Terminal.

Last time around they disappeared before I saw any. Little rocket ships are back. Why?🤔

@zap99.

Hi zap.

The rockets are for your cc post rank.

Anyone doing a Live From review will have a ship next to their names as well.

I understand the rockets and ships are to stay for the foreseeable future.

Graham.

My daughter, who lives with us, has been coughing and sneezing for 2days and when she got up this morning she looked and sounded awful. Tested positive. She's really poorly at the moment. Triple jabbed, and 51 years old. Makes me think of Tom Hanks and his box of chocolates.

Take care.

Sorry to read that your daughter is poorly, hope she recovers quickly, and that you and Frank don't catch it after being poorly yourselves.

Take care.

Sorry to hear about your daughter Avril, hopefully it won't get any worse, Mrs YP seems to be suffering more than me and she is only 57 and had exactly the same jabs as me on the same day. I seem to be improving as the day goes on.

I was totally mystified when I read your post and thought, 'zap's finally lost it', until I read Graham's reply.🙄

Hover the cursor over your avatar. The little rocket is under the post count.

No idea what the Badge is though!
