Busy day for me today.  My family have arranged a Secret Santa between them and have arranged for everyone to drop all the presents here today!  So with everyone coming a going it will be like Piccadilly Circus, except it's in Tier 4!  I have also got my Tesco delivery this afternoon (including sprouts for my mother as she forgot to order any) - fingers crossed everything arrives.

Good luck and have a fantastic day.

Stay safe,

Andy

It's that strange time of year again when the house is full of lovely food but I am not allowed to eat anything as it is 'for Christmas'...😢

Too tip fir today...

I know you lot will be having the finest, fresh goose/turkey delivered by the local butcher or Waitrose, but if any of you have a frozen turkey, today is the day to start thinking about defrosting...

Andy

And also putting the sprouts on.

I was lucky. The latest order I could get before Christmas was last Sunday and not only did Asda deliver everything  with no substitutes. but it was all very long dated - at least until Boxing Day. No intention of going out now till next week. Hope everyone gets all they need today and tomorrow. I do feel for the poor delivery drivers though. It's not their fault if items are missing.

Thanks Andy.

Pauline got our big Turkey crown out of the freezer late last night and put it in the fridge.

Someone has stolen the Werther's Original, there is only the empty wrapper left 😠🐈

Tesco order due this morning, keeping all my appendages crossed, ouch 🤔

That's criminal 😂

Because of my covid19 I still have some chocolate and sugar sweets Samples in the garage if anyone wants to call.

I took a full outer of wine gums to church last week for the Salvation Army appeal.

Thanks for the defrosting times.

Just two more days in the office, then four days off. Three days back and another three days off. Not sure I will cope with so many days off work. Hopefully my stock of Peroni will get me through it.😉

Our Asda deliveries have been pretty poor lately with lots of missing essentials, but this one wasn't bad, just a couple of realistic swaps.

I'm pleased to read that most are sorted with your Christmas orders .

Time to defrost the Turkeys ,unless your having a fresh one .912863584_xturkey.jpg.1c11349709bd26b90c55d9db20f61a10.jpg

I know some of us will be having beef xximages.jpg.bc91916ddb01c2efb68c152dca9cf621.jpg

but whatever you have I hope you enjoy it :classic_love:

As it is the time of year for mirth & merriment  :classic_biggrin: ....

Paddy took 2 stuffed dogs to the Antiques Roadshow.

The presenter said, ....

"This is a very rare set, produced by the celebrated Johns Brothers taxidermists

who operated in London at the turn of the last century.

Do you have any idea what they would fetch if they were in good condition?"
"Sticks!" Paddy replied.

Someone's being playing secret Santa ?
I found a Rotherham season ticket nailed to a tree.

I thought " I'm having that,"   You can't have enough nails can you ?

Our supermarket says that Johnnie Walkers  goes up by 1p at midnight

to £20 quid a bottle, so tonight I'm gonna party like it's £19.99

A Yorkshire man takes his cat to the vet.
Yorkshireman: "Aye up lad, I need to talk to thee about cat."
The vet replies "Is it a tom?"
Yorkshireman: "Nay, I've brought it with me."

Has anyone else been ripped off on eBay?
I bought a deep fat fryer the other day (supposedly brand new) It had a chip in it.

I confess that I have already attacked the Christmas chocolates (Needs must with such gloomy news) but Sainsburys are sending more supplies this morning with no missing items or substitutions!(Hubby was hoping sprouts would be missing as its the only day he eats them!)Wishing everyone a peaceful and healthy Christmas and New Year (christmas calories don't count, do they?!)
