The 2nd one is the "quantity of saturation", which can easily be checked. I would call an ambulance for the medical team to check the fever as well as the saturation.

I cant do anything, they dont listen to me. If they did he wouldnt have been so smirky about not getting the vaccine, when I said they should if they will be around my parents. He said you can get side effects from the vaccine, he will take his chances with covid. ..he is getting his wish. Hes 82 with diabetes and should have gotten the vaccine. Not smirked at me and said let someone else have his (and my sisters). No one listens to me. I am worried for him. They will have to call 911 if they get iced in and he keeps getting worse. There are some treatments that may help them. Also, they have to stay hydrated. I was told if my fever exceeded 100.4 to get to the hospital. Maybe some gatorade or propel water with electrolytes. My mom thinks his fever was 102.7 today. Best she could understand. They drank something but couldnt eat.

As I've seen the person still has to agree to go or not. I've seen my dad say no, so I'm sure. They have a roommate who now also tested positive who told my mom this morning he would drive him to ER if he wanted to go, he just wasnt sure bil could stand the over 2 hours to get admitted. It's being discussed. The decision is not mine. This is the same bil who told me god would take care of him and going to church wasnt risky behavior. He knows it all, until he or his roommate decide, nothing I can do. Very hard to argue when he brings in god to why he is right.

Coralc Posted February 14, 2021 #7837 Share Posted February 14, 2021 I guess we will all find out how safe we are. We are still waiting for vaccinations to get to our age group (early 60's)

At least that was what I learned using the algorithm in my short stint taking emergency calls while they had a staff shortage at the start of the pandemic. Can he talk to you? If not then you need to call an ambulance. Not sure about the fever. It is dreadful when you cannot be there.

firefly333 Posted February 14, 2021 #7843 Share Posted February 14, 2021 They keep putting off when our big snow will start. Now they say after 6 pm, which means after dark. I was hoping to watch it today out the window. We do have icy snow on the streets and frozen in at 18 degrees. Bring on the snow already. 2

Took her 15 years but she finally wised up and dumped him. Her first husband was far worse than this one. He was cheating on her, moved his rotten kids in with them, who were stealing from her (as was he), and he treated her terrible...even though she was the main bread winner. This was when big sister did step in, she listened...got rid of him and was ever so happy she did. This one, though lazy, self serving, and extremely eccentric...has not hurt her physically, and she seems (sort of) happy, so letting it ride until he does hurt her.

One of the reasons her "tough as nails" older sister is very protective of her...as I had been even when we were children. She knows it, and actually appreciates it. After divorcing her first husband, (who still got into her garage and stole things) she moved a woman in with her (she only knew briefly) along with the woman's adult daughter as room mates. But I soon found they were taking advantage of her as well when I went up to visit her while she still lived in Michigan (doing her residency). Kicked the woman out, helped my sister up there for awhile (she was suffering with a badly broken leg from skiing accident at the time)...then convinced her to move down here to Florida to be close to us...as did my mother. Best thing I ever got her to do. 🥰 She has since set up her own clinic as infectious disease specialist, and wound care, plus resident ID doctor for two hospitals. Florida gained from having her here as well. 🙂

We can also tend to be rather bossy... or so I've been told.😇 6
