Thanks all for the well wishes.

I will post a few photos every day of food, scenery, etc… Maybe morning, noon and bedtime. Don’t want to spam you all but I miss doing reviews. Looking forward to getting away and trying to leave emails behind if at all possible.

I have always wanted to read a Sandals review. Like is it a fairy tale week? Is the food really good? Are there any people who don’t look like cover models??

That’s the great thing about cruising. You get to meet people from all over. We have become cruise friends with Captain Johnny over the years. It’s more like friends until we see you again. Last time we were together we had dinner at Jamie’s on Harmony.

As for the Keg you are at, I bet it was the one in the Embassy Suites with the view of the falls. When @Yorkvillain came to visit us we took him there. I think he might still dream of it. He loved the lobster wrapped in bacon appetizers.

As for where, Barbados is our destination.

Yep, that was the hotel.  I was told it was the hotel to book.  I don’t remember much about the hotel, but the steak was yummy.

You mentioned Capt. Johnny, is that Johnny Faevelen. Harmony ? Was talking to him on Facebook. Back In May of 2021 he was asking for me to send him Money. It was really weird, wondered if he asked you the same?

It was either his Mother or Wife was sick and needed to send her money. It was really weird, now when I go to look at the conversation all his conversation and now his Profile can't even be found.

That sounds like phishing attack, can’t imagine a RCI captain asking for money on FB.

When we lived in NY I used to drive up to my neighbor's house for coffee and chat quite often.  Did I mention she lived 4 houses away on my block?  Well, her house was on a hill and walking up had me huffing and puffing.  This was approx. 30 years ago. 🤣

How is Eric feeling?  Hopefully, by now, much or all better.

The best news about my Jen's friend Jen is that she was discharged from the hospital, with her new heart working beautifully.  We are all so thankful.

@A&L_OntAndrew and Lisa, have a fabulous vacation.

Fantastic news about Jen! A new heart and a new lease on life.
I wish her the very best!

Update on Kenzie’s aunt.

She is out of ICU but as of yesterday she was not doing well.  She got to the point where she asked her doctor if she was going to die.  A small portion of the lung was collapsed and she has a lung abscess.
Today it sounds like things are finally turning.  This is a text from her mom this morning.

She had a great night best one yet. Tube is annoying and sore but nothing like her chest hurt!!! She didn't cough much at all!! She is coughing some this morning but that's good!!! She says she feels so much better!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏

So thankful to get better sounding news from her.  Thanks for the continued prayers.

Any progress is a gift! I hope she keeps getting better and better. 🙏🙏🙏

I have a question for you RCI experts. The price on my Ovation Alaska cruise this summer has dropped. Final payment was a couple of days ago. If I request OBC for the price drop (I think that's how it works), will it mess up all of the excursions and other things I've already paid for? I don't want all of that stuff to get canceled.

My newest doctor puts his notes in a patient portal app.
I finally decided to look at it and it said

“patient presents as a nice woman

Kind of sounds like I’m faking it!

My doctor wrote "well nourished" and I took it to mean fat!

Our daughter and grandson are visiting us for a week. Jack and I are exhausted!  We were in Grandscape today for 5 hours, a sports, entertainment, dining beautiful venue not  far from us.  My grandson was disappointed that the Andretti indoor kart roadway was closed for a month for maintenance.  No worries, because he had fun playing the arcade games.  Pizza lunch then on to Sheels sportswear store and so much more.  Tomorrow will be high 80s so a visit with his TX cousins, and some pool time sounds perfect. Monday will be the Dallas Perot Science Museum.  Homeward bound Tuesday.

Phone is charging in another room. When I have the energy to get up from this couch I'll post a picture or 2.  I doubt it will be anytime soon!

Request it.  It does not affect Cruise planner items.

We have stayed at the embassy suites by the falls with a view of the falls , we will do Buffalo area this summer and definitely want a visit to the falls , I prefer staying in American side but Canadian side has best view of the falls and have more casinos.

We love Sandals resorts , high end , good food,( better than mdr) top shelf drinks , swim up bars . Only issue is entertainment isn’t as good as cruise ships.

1000% correct about the entertainment. Nothing like Oasis/Quantum and still no where near as good as Radiance etc.

Two negative Covid tests just now. Time to get serious about packing for Sunday. It’s SOOOOO much easier (and cheaper) driving 3 hours to the port rather than flying in the day before, paying for a hotel, getting transportation to the port, etc. we can also load up on stuff that we wouldn’t otherwise fly with like big bottles of suntan lotion, saline solution, etc.

I also just took our pictures and uploaded vaccine results in the app. I remember others saying they had a problem doing this. No problem for us.

Great news and I'm so excited for you. You might have mentioned it before but what ship and itinerary out of what port?

Wow I would be exhausted to. Hang in there I am sure you love spending time with them.

Lol, host reminded me of our Dr describing my daughter at her first check up at about a month old....she referred to her as STURDY.

😁 Ours, at about the same age, was described as "costaud" [in French, since he was born in Brussels...].

which Sandals did you stay at? We went to one three years in a row , food was great , loved swim up bars, but they had a piano bar that a few keys didn’t work and it was never fixed. My only other issue was some of the restaurants and bars were about a mile away from others at the one resort we were at (whitehouse which has since been renamed) , plus was there was about6 different restaurants with no extra charge and in some cases if there was another sandals close you could eat and drink at both for no extra money.
