We have 6600 or 6800 passengers are the counts I heard so far.   First day seems like an insane amount of people.  Hoping tomorrow doesn't seem so crowded.

Geez and then add the crew on top of that.................   must seem like sardines.. Last sailing before schools starts........you are quite brave. Lots of Kids  I bet.

Yes, lots of little ones.  We were first thinking of booking for 9.04 or 9.11 but found great price on JS for this one so I grabbed it a couple months ago.

CK wasn't crowded for dinner,, but we ate early 530 reservation.

I hope to find a nice sunny spot on pool deck, hopefully the solarium outdoor garden to relax and read tomorrow.

Going to have to get up early, to get that towel, shoes, books etc firmly planted on the lounge chair you want then, better head for bed soon.  How is Eric holding up the 1st day? Cane or the walking thing you got him?

I'm actually surprised that wifi has been working good with this many people.  Hopefully I didn't speak too soon.

I am confused?

We were discussing responses to when people ask us how we like retirement.   @taznremmy answered "When people ask  me, I tell them it is the best job I have ever had. 😁" .  When some head to work they say they are going to the office.   Now that she is cruising while retired she can say that her new office is a cruise ship.  😆

How's that.

Eric was walking with cane to board.  Then I went to see if cabin was ready around 1 pm and drove the scooter to the promenade.  I didnt want him pushing it on first day.   Scared him when he saw me weaving in and out of people.  I did a wheely getting out of cabin, never drove one before.😁

I’m more than five years retired, and it still seems like vacation.  I don’t think it will change.

I am at 6 years and still think about what I need to do back at work after vacation,  then remember no more work!! Living in a quasi resort area with many other retirees helps with that vacation vibe. Wouldn't go back for anything, gotta get my fun in while the body let's me 😉.

Yes, parked at the garage for $25/day.   Sat in taffic for about 45 minutes.  Once parked and in the terminal check in was a breeze.

we had dinner in CK this evening.  Filet mignon melted in my mouth.  Sorry dont know why un20220828_131307.thumb.jpg.5de1b3aae1d40d9eeb2f998337792c69.jpgderlining now.

@Sea Dog. First drink was Kraken Colada with floater, then a painkiller, then a rum punch with kraken floater, then a glass of Riesling with dinner, even though I hate to mix.

Enjoy!!!!!!!

I am at 5 years.  Time flies.   I have never had a desire to go back.  I can understand that some personalities can not handle being away from a work environment. Not me.  I love not having to plan around work.

About a month ago I had a dream I was still working.   It was sooo real.  It reaffirmed I am thankful to be retired!

Have you reached the 1-year retired mark yet Greg?

October 29th will be one year. Can't believe it's gone by this fast.  I am loving it. I thought I would be getting more things done but I have mainly been relaxing and goofing off. Pretty much have the same routine everyday which sometimes I get a little bored but I'd rather do that than do the daily grind. My typical day

Get up when the dogs wake us up.

Breakfast

Social media check (have to see what my friends are doing here)

Work out for 2 hours

Lunch

Take a nap with the puppies in the afternoon

More social media

Music time in my studio

Dinner

Some sort of television

Bedtime

I know boring. I would like to get out of the house more.

Was that your very first Kraken Colada? How did you like it. Out of the three what was your favorite. I have not had a Painkiller yet, I'm saving myself for when I go to the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke where the original painkiller was invented.

I really enjoyed the Kracken Colada.  Yes that was my first of many to come.   Painkiller is a good one too.

I usually love rum punch with Kraken floater but the one had wasn't as good as some past ones.  And bartender said it's extra $1 from diamond voucher.  Never was charged extra on my last 4 cruises this year.

Had 3 good mojitos in casino but 4th one by different bartender was the worst mojito ever.  No wonder his side of the bar was empty.

Long day, headed to bed now.  Good night everyone😀

Hmmmm that doesn't sound right. When I get the DDP and ask for a Kraken floater they always accommodate. Glad you had a great day. Good night, ocean dreams!

Hey does anyone know why I can't access deck plans on Symphony of the Seas on Royals website. I'm on a macbook pro. All I get is this.

Happy to see you and Eric made it on safely.  I am glad to see you are sharing the adventure with us.

Now I know this is going to sound like a thing a retired guy should know by now but what is a Kraken floater?
