Another ugly win, but a win.  It's always fun watching with a lot of other Mafia.  We had about 60 yesterday.

Huge game next weekend.  A win over the Dolphins gives the Bills the AFC East title and the 2 seed in the conference.  A loss and they could still miss the playoffs.  Crazy.

It was fun going to the Bills bar for the game and seeing all the different shirts etc . Almost everyone had bills stuff on . Bills against dolphins Sunday night .

Do you have other plans for your New York City trip and Billy Joel concert ? Many of us would be happy suggesting restaurants and bars in the area , hotel has a small bar open from about 5 to midnight and you can get a nice breakfast there .

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Like others have shared I can only wish for a safe healthy year ahead.

I saw a post that said

New week

New month

New Year

New beginnings.

I always like to look for the good things life has to offer.
When I have a “bump” in the road that cause me to alter my course, I just deal with it.

Well, yesterday a “ bump” to end the year.

Recently I posted the issues with my iPhone. How it was finally fixed by removing the old “guts” and giving me new inside.
Well, now I wonder if they just said they did.

The same problems resumed yesterday.

This is what I tried to forward. But the phone said.

“funny lady”. Not gonna happen. You have no friends.

IMG_0004.thumb.png.511a04ebfa6479c6b384d4ea90a27195.png

So I have an appointment in Cleveland tomorrow.
And it gets better.  I have no technical support—the spouse has to go to work.

So. Once again.
Think of me when I go to the big city.

I made it back home to California from Fort Lauderdale but my luggage went to New Jersey instead...

Filed a claim at SFO with Jetblue for my missing luggage and now we will see how many days before they can find it or should I say IF they can find it...

Ugh.  This is the worst part of travel.  At least it was on the way home.

We’re checking 4 bags total this month to fly to Sydney. We use air tags but I still worry every time I check a bag.  For me it’s the worst part of flying. I can’t relax and start vacation until I know my bags are back with me.

I need help.with what to do in Nassau in May.  We were going to Blue Lagoon but that has removed from the excursions.  We just want a nice beach day with amenities.  Bathrooms, food and drink to purchase.  Chairs with shade, and snorkeling would be a  plus.  Never having been there I have no idea of where to go and how to get there.  Any ideas will be appreciated.

I suspect they will reopen excursions to Blue Lagoon by May.   If not, maybe check out the site resort for a day.

Or just talk a 15 min walk or taxi ride to Junkanoo Beach where you can rent lounges with or without umbrellas.   Lots of food and drink options available.   Unfortunately, no good snorkeling in these areas.

Another good option with great snorkeling is

https://tourcliftonheritage.com/

We went here with our Son and his Wife and loved this area.  If you purchase their pkg it included transportation, lunch and snorkeling gear.

We're also seeing The Book of Mormon and will go up to Summit One Vanderbilt.  Since that's right Near Bryant Park and Grand Central, we'll check those out for a bit as well.  Maybe get a drink at the Campbell Bar upstairs in Grand Central.  Unfortunately, I think the Bryant Park Winter Village will be gone by the time we get there.  Another day will probably be the 9/11 Memorial.  Not sure yet what else we'll do...better figure that out this week.  We'll need to play it a little bit by ear depending on weather, but the long range forecast right now looks pretty good in the 40s/50s.

We only have one dinner reservation so far at La Masseria on West 48th.  Friends here highly recommend it.  I've also received a recommendation for Patsy's and Becco.  I have a few Italian friends.  😁  Joe Allen is also on our radar.  We may go to Ellen's Stardust Diner for fun since it's very close to the hotel.  Definitely a bagel sandwich someplace for breakfast, a slice or two of pizza, and a black and white cookie.  Any recommendations for any of those 3 near Times Square would be welcomed.

I'd also be interested in any dinner recommendations near MSG.  The concert starts at 8:00 and we'd want to be done eating by 7:00 to give ourselves plenty of time.  Nothing too fancy.

Happy New Year everyone!

so I think some have shared already, what’s up next for cruising in 2024?
we have 5/30 jewel Norway & arctic circle cruise then 9/9 a Mediterranean on celebrity silhouette stopping in Italy, France, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.  Very excited for both 😊

We have a B2B2B on the Voyager for 33 nights starting May 1.  Then in 2025, we have Bella, (not sure we will actually go) and a pile in February from Singapore, Brisbane, Sydney and Honolulu…. If we do all of that we will be out of the country for almost 3 months.  Have NRD on those unlike Bella, so probably doing those.

Of course we leave on our 90+ days in the Airstream either Wednesday or Thursday.  Hooking it up and hauling it to our home from our lake house this afternoon.

Thanks for the good thoughts all! Merida (my cat) is doing a lot better today. Peed and pooped, ate something, and is drinking water. And she even hopped up on the bed for snuggles which she hadn’t done since she was sluggish.

Happy New Year everyone!

Great news!

I really like Junkanoo Beach. It is a walkable distance from the port. It has some fun bars, food, and bathrooms available.

I definitely prefer Becco over Patsy’s been to both , Becco is located on restaurant row which has lots of restaurants and bars , also two places with live music to the wee hours , Don’t tell your mama and Swing 46th where my cousin often plays drums , cool bar there is Joe Allen’s which we have seen broadway and movie stars. Our favorite pizza is Angelo’s next to Ed Sullivan theater. Cool bar about two blocks from hotel is Gallaghers which is also an upscale steak restaurant which is a hundred years old . If you are going to Beccos i would get a reservation asap . We normally do Becco’s twice once for lunch and once for dinner . Book of Mormon was definitely one of the funniest plays we ever saw . If you do 9/11 and want an upscale restaurant Delmonicos is a few blocks away , also trinity church where Alexander Hamilton is buried is walking distance . Sounds like you have some really good plans .

Junkanoo Beach isn’t a bad place to go. The Tiki Bikini Bar is next door with food and drink. I also would suggest the Fish Fry just because I like it.

Baha Mar also is a spot to go with a beach and pools. Their website has information. I think it will be less crowded than Margaritaville.

I have heard that the Colonial Hilton has a beach break again even though the hotel is closed. I don’t know anyone who has gone since the reopening. In looking a can’t find any information either.

That is kind of a lot of people. Happy New Year. Thanks for the photo. ☺️(they look like moss. <jk>) Because there are so many people with the green lighting.

That is why Bill wanted to see Kenny Chesney at a smaller venue in Lake Tahoe. I can definitely see why now. I am way over arena shows. Too many people. 🙄

Ha, I think the "moss" effect is also caused by the confetti. We have no problem with big crowds.

As you know from my previous posts, we love Kenny Chesney and are happy to see him in any venue! Part of the fun of his concerts is the crowd and the tailgating.

Understand, however, that you can only do what you are comfortable with...

Looks like fun.  Can't wait to do the same thing in 11 days, only earlier in the night and at MSG.

How was the sound level?  Micheline is worried that it will be too loud.  She'll definitely have her Loop earplugs with her just in case.

We did not find the sound level bad. We were on second level to side of stage.

Have a great time. He still puts on quite a show.

How about some food porn. We kept it simple and went to the buffet at 6pm when it opened. I was able to get great photos before it was filled up.

It reminded me of the old midnight buffets.

More salads and desserts than I could dream of. Sushi, veggies, and sea food etc…. I focused on the proteins. I didn’t take photos of desserts either.

If you do decide to do the Clifton Heritage tour package.    It is a nice scenic ride as the park is at the other end of the island.    Our lunch included a choice of a fish or chicken dish and was very tasty.   We really loved this area and will definitely go back again.
