George, I somehow did not pay attention to the fact that you are on the November Beyond Roll Call!  I’ve been enjoying reading about your music charter cruise!  We’ll have to get together on Beyond and compare cat stories. 😺

Our cat sitter texts us pictures of our cats daily during our vacation, she said she slipped on ice getting to our house but luckily said she was fine .

we were in St Thomas today

63 and cloudy in Long Island, NY

66 degrees right now in RI, tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 36 🤨.  Friday we’ll have “plowable” snow.  That must be the new way of predicting snowfall when you have no idea how much.

definitely crazy weather this week.    Yesterday was 58 f, today is 68 f  with sun most of the day but tomorrow is suppose to be in the 30's

Same weather for us with predictions of 2"-4" along the shoreline, 4"-8" inland and 6"-10" in the Northwest corner.

Like I've said before, "If you don't like the weather in New England...... Wait 10 Minutes"

It must've been the drink you were having for me, Debbie.  I can now do the Happy Dance along with Jim!

It's a Go!!!  Jim and I are both Negative!!!!  Whoot whoot!!!

That’s great news. Ours have always come in in about an hour or so. If ours took that long I’d probably be freaking out.

Any idea what the first drink will be?

I'm planning on trying an espresso martini with Baileys that OB enjoys.

Those are good and unfortunately go down way to easy. 😁

I'll make sure to send some luck your way next week, Mark!  Thank you!

Please send some our way also. Our next cruise is in 8 days. We really need to pass these tests.

I had an interesting experience today. I received an email from our health insurance provider stating that we could pick up no cost covid home tests from their retail pharmacy partners. I happened to be at Rite Aid this afternoon, so I went by the pharmacy and asked. She took a photocopy of my DL and insurance card, and a few minutes later gave me a bag with 8 home antigen tests!

According to the pharmacist, each insured US person (non-Medicare) is eligible for 8 home tests a month at no charge. I was amazed! So now we have 12 tests. We are ready, should symptoms ever arise. :classic_biggrin:

I should have asked her about the free N95's too. We will be working on the kitchen flooring. :classic_biggrin: Maybe next week. :classic_wink:

Have you been to Akrotiri?

We’ve been a couple of times which is probably once too many, but it is a fantastic archeological dig.
We still had time to tour a winery, but not much else. 6EB18925-87FA-49B5-9922-8E8E62C8199B.thumb.jpeg.433c196db874b453600b45244a773e4b.jpeg

No we haven't. That's a thought. We've only been twice and each time did the boat to Oia and bus back to Fira, light meal and walk down the steps to the tender. I was thinking about doing the hike back but I don't think we're fit enough.  Gary loves archaeology digs so Akrotiri may be an idea

Thank you

@aussielozzie18molly has been enjoying her games of tennis with me in the back garden 😀

My son has taken her for walks the last two days too

Can't wait to go for a long walk myself

Day 7 and still two red lines ☹️

Pleased Molly is still getting her daily exercise.  Sorry you are still testing positive.  How frustrating.

It is 20° this morning, and we are expecting 3 inches of snow, sleet, and ice tonight.  Restricted travel and reduced speeds for all our interstates.  Not looking forward to that.

At least our long range forecast is for good weather for our travel day next week.  Signed up for our testing appointments at Walgreens, near our hotel next Thursday in Florida.

Interesting.

here in the UK and also in the EU, this is common practice by our governments to look after its own people.

Here in the US prior to this year we could go to various pharmacies or some county sites for free covid tests.

During the recent holidays and the spike from omicron testing spots were booked up so our government in January decided to start shipping to our homes or giving out at various locations free test kits.

I have no idea what the total $$$ the US govt has paid out to residents and their businesses but it must be in the billions.

My top three non-wine drinks are Mojito, Cosmopolitan and Painkiller (in no particular order).  For wine I’m  a Sauvignon Blanc girl, just cannot drink red wine.

Mojito is always my go to drink when on land or sea.  I also like mules with Belvederre or Grey Goose vodka.  At sea I like an occassion caribbean mule or rum punch with shot of kraken ontop.  Watermelon or chocolate martinis are good too if you want something sweet.

I'm excited to try an espresso martini with Baileys on my next cruise.  I have never had a painkiller and will try that too!

This Debbie does not like red wine either.  I like a German Riesling or an Italian Pinot Grigio.

Wow! My list keeps growing good thing we have vouchers and free drinks in casino!

I haven’t gotten any of the free tests through my insurance yet as we have a decent supply. I did get the free N95 masks at CVS last week. They had them at the pharmacy and at the front registers.

All those free tests and test kits have been paid for by US tax payers and those who pay medical isurance premiums.

Yesterday was a high of 68f.  Woke up this morning to 26f with a feels like temp of 17f.     Mix of snow, sleet and changing to rain said to start around midnight.

All that weather is coming our way. Yesterday I got a late afternoon bike ride in. Tomorrow I'll be moving snow.🙄

Yup, as well as the people that got extended unemployment and stimulus checks.     And business, hospitals, schools, etc etc.  Impossible to balance that budget but we will wont get into that!

You don't have to worry about balancing any budget when the printing press is in your basement.

It was 74 in the sun on my deck yesterday,  Gorgeous day!  Now, I have to go check the gas cans to make sure I have gas for the snow blowers.  We are in an 8 to 12 inch band but we shall see.❄️
