DaniDanielle Posted January 23, 2023 #83827 Share Posted January 23, 2023 We haven’t been to Disney in forever. The kids enjoyed it but not as much as you would expect. They seemed to enjoy the hotel pool the best! Greg, those pictures😁How did you get your 17 year old to pose!!!!!

One thing I did was have Linda take a picture of us both. The first time I think he was 3 and I held him in my arms. The second time he was 7 so I recreated the picture and the 3rd time he was 17. I took all 3 pictures and put them together to show all three. Here is the picture. Another cool story is that, I got complimentary tickets due to working for an ABC affiliate then owned by Disney. I got 5 tickets even though we needed 3. After getting the tickets we would look for a family that looked like they could of used some help. We would go up to them and ask if they purchased their tickets yet? When they said no we would give them 2 tickets and tell them to enjoy their day. I can’t tell you the joy on their faces as well as shock. We would all cry with happiness. It was a random act of kindness that made our whole trip. I love the pictures and your kind heart. 2

Love the picture and the great story, I can just imagine the surprise of those receiving the tickets. We are another that really didn't do Disney a lot. Went 3 times while kids were young, they enjoyed but wanted to also do different things. It's close to 20 years since we've been and no desire to return with how it is now.

They’re expensive but we get a DVC member renewal discount and when divided up over a few trips it’s definitely worth it, to us anyway. They’re currently not selling new annual passes, only renewals allowed. The first time I went to an Amusement Park was in 1949.My first time in Disneyland was 1970.I still have my brochures and ticket stubs.

I really wanted to pick up a chicken, so I did. And she peed all over me. 😄 We also enjoyed Marineland, Sea World, Disneyland and Universal. We still have 4 day park hopper tickets for Disney World. Non-expiring media. We will use them eventually. We still haven't been to Magic Kingdom. Too many kids, and no adult beverages. ☺️ I was in Knotts Berry Farm in 1970.

I love photos that recreate events or memories. This is one we did in 2021. The girls have talked about recreating some from their childhood. You’ve inspired me now to go through our old pictures and choose a few to do so on our next family trip in August.

I guess they told you how Walt Disney’s undercover operators were able to buy all of the property he had picked out from flying over it. Except the parcel Bonnet Creek Resort is on. That’s why they only have a little sign on the main road, different from all the Disney resort signs.

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted January 23, 2023 #83848 Share Posted January 23, 2023 @Sea Dog I’ve seen quite a few photos of families recreating their childhood photos but your photo with Jonathan is one of the best. Your random act of kindness would have made those people’s year and created a lifetime memory.
