Glad some have received a refund. As for me, I am still waiting for my cruise sail date March 14 full refund. RCCL says they refunded on the 19th of April.... As of today April 24th, Credit Card company says nothing received from them.

We Cancelled 3/13

This afternoon I called again, put me on hold & researched, was told:

“Refund is in final step, was approved on April 20th...

will Take Between 10 to 14 days be received by your credit card...

if You don’t see it by May 8th, call back”

Check’s in the mail, cool beans 🤬

So I went through Twitter sent a PM that way after a couple days someone actually got back with me and basically the same answer it was processed on April 19th , we suggest you check with your bank as to when it be credited to your account . I have been just about 30 days . I am going to give it that 7 -10 day period to see if it gets credited .

Fridays must be the day of refunds from Royal.

We also got our refundable $900 deposit back for a September cruise I cancelled about a month ago.  I called earlier in the week and was told the refund was initiated on 4/19 and it showed up pending my credit card on 4/24.  So relieved!

All my refunds have now been received.

I cancelled my June cruise as well as 2 drink packages on March 24th (1 day before final payment, and I had a refundable deposit). I was told I would get the refund in 7-10 days (didn’t ask if it was total days or business days).

My credit card shows my refund as being posted on April 19th (26 total days after I cancelled, 18 business days), though it didn’t show up for me to see it until the end of today (Friday April 24th, 31 total days after I cancelled, 23 business days).

The refund showed up in 4 unequal payments that don’t match up to the original amounts, but the total adds up.

I made a claim on my cancel for any reason insurance for $2800 in airfare, received my 75% back in 17 total days (13 business days).

Had another flight cancelled by American Airlines, refund processed in 22 days (16 business days).

Insurance wins the refund game for me, but I’m satisfied with the amount of time it took to receive all my refunds, given I was prepared for a 60-90 day wait.

This whole credit card refund, delay, finger pointing fiasco has me puzzled.  I’m retired banker. 36 years.  Research the timeline requirements of Regulation Z regarding how credits are to be processed.   [emoji848]

Is this really a serious question?

I cancelled my November cruise on March 19.  I checked my account this morning, as I have been doing daily, and I have finally gotten the refund.  So 5 weeks and 2 days.

Cancelled our September b2b on 3/19/20, got nothing back yet.

Could you please  update as to whether your credit card company tracked down your "disbursed" refund

with the transaction number. I called this afternoon..the rep. said they didn't have a reference number.

Our funds were also disbursed on the 19th....checked with Bank of America, they have not received

any credits.  Some posters that cancelled after we did, have received their refunds.

Our refunds were received last night, Friday 4/24.    That was 40 CALENDER days from the date we cancelled.  I haven't heard front our credit card comp but obvousily no longer need their help.

Good to luck, I think eventually you'll get it.  I am still waitng on the FCC, which I was told I would receive by 4/30

Question to those that have received refunds...did you get the entire refund all at once or was it broken into pieces and credited to you on different days?  The reason I ask is that this morning i received the refund of taxes, fees and gratuities (in three separate credits) but did not receive the refund of the cruise fare itself.  Just wondering if i should expect it in the next few days or if i should start to make phones calls.  The cruise was booked/cancelled through a big box TA but I don't think that should make a difference.

We are only getting a FCC for our trip, but the taxes and port fees were received as one total credit per reservation number.  We had two reservations booked, then canclled,  at the same time. Both credits came last night.  Hope that helps

I got the same email yesterday. Nothing on the actual cruise refund, just the dining package, taxes, etc.

What email are you referring to?  Did it state the cruise fare would be refunded separately?  Thank you for your response.

I received an email with the charges that were being refunded.  Nothing reflected on my CC yet...

We cancelled an October 25th cruise on April 10th, refundable $500 deposit posted to my card yesterday, April 24th, and was dated April 19th. We rebooked the same October 25th cruise that same day, April 10th, with the casino department using a casino promotion instead, but they couldn't transfer the deposit since the original booking was made with the group department. Casino promotion was required to be paid in full at the time of booking, but it was significantly less than what was still owed on the original booking. Plus then, I got the $500 original deposit back.

Cruise line insurance for the original booking was also refunded, dated April 22nd, posted April 24th.

I cancelled March 14. Wonder how they decide who to refund first

.

I'd be curious to know this too. Currently at day 46 waiting to be refunded for port taxes/fees, cruise planner items and prepaid gratuities for a cruise I cancelled on 03/10 that was supposed to leave 03/15 (if I had had a crystal ball I would have waited out Royal and been able to get the full refund option).

Pretty frustrating to read that people who initiated a cancellation after me for cruises in the fall are getting refunded first. It got me thinking that perhaps there was an issue with my file as some others have reported. When I sent an email to my TA to ask about inquiring if there was a problem, I was sent a reply to "just be patient."

At this point I'm going to wait it out a full 60 days and then contact Royal myself. I think that's being very patient!

Cruises cancelled March 17th and March 25th.... still waiting.

Update: Today, April 25th, I received my credit for the March 17th cruise that I cancelled, so a total wait time of 39 days for a full refund. (This was a refundable deposit only that I had on a future cruise.)

The March 25th cancellation was a cruise RCL cancelled. The only thing I have received is an email yesterday they were refunding my cruise planner, which had nothing to refund.

I received a refund on the taxes part of my trip...but I was hoping I would also receive a refund on the value of the BOA credit card my cruise points that I traded in for this trip.  Does anyone have experience getting value back for my cruise credit card points?

For those still waiting for refunds, I received all of my refunds today.  Cruise was for 03/15/20 and canceled on 3/13/20. I requested the refund online on 03/14/20.   I was told the funds were approved back to my credit card on 04/19/20.  They were sent in multiple credits to two different credit cards.  Adding all of them up added to the correct amount.

It’s encouraging to hear people are finally starting to see refunds. Today is the 30 day mark for us from when we received an official refund request reference number from RCI stating refund will be within 30 days. Unfortunately nothing has been refunded.

I got mine today canceled on 3/21 , got the cruise money haven't got the excursion or dining money yet which I actually canceled a day earlier .

Since I get a different answer every time I talk to someone it seems I came up $500 short . so did they put that on FCC she told me last night as a I had a question on something as the refund was coming into different bank accounts . Anyway she told me I was getting a 100 % refund no FCC . But since I am $500 short it stands to reason the kept the deposit . But she didn't see any ? Dang I used to be a TA is this confusing me cant imagine how people that aren't used to booking cruises are handling this crazy stuff .

I received my refund on 4/24 (Friday) for a May 29th cruise we cancelled on February 22nd.  I was told it was processed to our credit card on 4/19.  She said to give it 5 days to post to our credit card and sure enough she was correct.  So glad to see Royal is finally returning our money.
