Interesting rule

I would think the 14 day before you can return to work rule was fairly common. It’s actually a CDC recommendation that was issued before they put their no sail order in for Cruises

“Passengers who return from a cruise ship or river cruise voyage are advised to stay home for 14 days, monitor their health, and practice social distancing.

CDC has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for cruise ship travel.”

If they are sailing , I think it is safe to cruise again.  Although no one in my travel party is at risk, so I am willing to change it.I was also on a cruise when this something went down so my tolerance for changing it is high.  I don't have another cruise booked until November, but I will do one this summer if I can do one at a price I like and get there for a reasonable price.  I would need my husband to get least minute time off too or in would have none booked now.

Nope. Already transferred our August 9th deposit for same cruise, same cabins to August 2021.  No way was I going to hand RCI over 10 grand in a couple of weeks with the economic uncertainty, cruising uncertainty, and all the reports of the nightmares of refunds and FCC.  

 

IF and that is a big IF, Remdesivir lives up to its intial promise to be a reliable treatment and is widely available and if the economy is recovering, I might change my mind and purchase at the last minute. Right now they are giving away the cabins.

My daughter's work policy is similar; if you leave the hometown and travel domestically, you have to self quarantine for a week. If you travel internationally, like the Bahamas, you have to self-quarantine for 2 weeks. 

 

For our daughter, a cruise is not worth it right now.

Its been reported that Roysl will accept any letter from the doctor, doesn't have to be the example previously posted.

Not for an August sailing.  Cruise with confidence extends to Sept 1 and waives all the NRD penalties.

We canceled our cruise for August out of Bayonne just before final payment was due. Too many stories on CC about lack of refunds to allow RCI to hold on to our money indefinitely. If things are back up and running in August and I'm happy with the safety protocols in place, I'm fairly certain I could find a cruise.

I was thinking on a good day I wouldn't cruise July or Aug for the same reason. My cut off is mid June.

FWIW, Laura has a casino comp cruise on Aug 23. No investment other than $110 in port fees.
