Thank you OP for starting this thread! It's wonderful to read such positive posts, mostly filled with the thrill of anticipation of better times and planning new adventures.

 

We have made future bookings too! In the hopes that the Caribbean will be a 'go' in December, we have booked a B2B on the Nieuw Amsterdam to celebrate DH's 39th (times 2, LOL) and our 30th anniversary. Bonus: Dear friends will also be on board (we met them on a Circle Hawaii on the Zaandam years ago.) We also have a long-deferred Baltics itinerary booked for July 2021 on the Nieuw Statendam.

 

We are keeping up with the news but don't dwell on trying to 'crystal ball' which businesses may not make it through this challenging time. That is way beyond our control and  pay grade. However, there are things we can control and we want to be as positive as possible right now. We can and will get through this!

We've booked the Circle Hawaii in 2022 from Vancouver. While I'm concerned about the Panama cruise scheduled for February, I now have something to look forward to should it not work out. Can't wait to be back on a Dam ship.

Back in November of 2019, I booked a quickie 4-day on the Nieuw Statendam for January, 2021.  $50 deposit for 2 people.  It looks like we may be one of the first cruises to sail.  At the time I booked it seemed very far away.  I'm glad I have something booked to look forward to, and I'm not canceling unless HAL does the canceling.  This assumes my sister and I can get flights to Ft. Lauderdale.  Right now I'm taking a wait and see posture.  I don't want to book anything else because I don't want to tie up travel funds and have to wait on a refund if it's a no go.

We booked 12/9-12/19/2020 Southern Caribbean back in February, on the Eurodam.  We absolutely plan on going!  (I hope)  Just read she will be coming out of drydock on 12/8.  

 

And I so agree about a positive Thread.  I've stopped Cruise Critic reading most of the time, just because of it.  You know the song, "Let It Go'..............................

We booked a TA from Rotterdam to Boston in July next year, using the FCC from our cancelled April cruise, and when our FCC comes through from our cancelled August 2020 cruise, we'll probably try for something off the west coast in 2021.  That said, if there is no vaccine by then, we will probably cancel, because we are old!

Booked the 1/13/20 Zuiderdam 11 day Panama Canal cruise. Very excited as hubby and I have never been on a cruise that long. We are in our late 30's but have so much unused vacation time and it's time to start using it. Thanks for starting this thread 🙂

Booked the 35 day Voyage of Vikings 2021 on the Zaandam and cant wait!!  Things should be back to almost normal by next year we hope.  THANKS OP for the positive thread.....finally!!  Be safe and hope others join in on this thread with nothing but positivity 🥰 This too shall pass......HAPPY SAILING EVERYONE

We were going to book a cruise just two months ago but our plans changed very quickly so we didnt book.. and we got very lucky that we didnt book. These days the safest way to book would be either for the next year  or just wait till all the limitations will be taken down. No one wants to have a limited experience on board the ship

I remember my first cruise - 7 day Alaska - it seemed do long at the time. And when you are still working that was a long cruise. My first cruise post retirement was 28 days which seemed like forever! I have now done 2 and 1/2 world cruises so 7 days seems like I don't even need to unpack.

The nice thing about cruising when still working was the great contrast between work and cruise. Really made the cruises special.

Enjoy the Panama Canal! I recommend watching some documentaries and read a book before you go.

You will have lectures that are interesting on board but they only scratch the surface!!!

I did! Nieuw Amsterdam February 27,2021.

I’m excited to be able to show my husband HAL ( he has only been on Carnival). I’m close to 4 stars since my mother would take me all over the world . She passed away in January and one of her last words to me were “take the trip, make those memories “. I plan on doing just that !

 

What’s even better is that I booked at a casino rate and snagged a Neptune Suite for under 1300.00 ( including taxes, port fees, and insurance) whoohoooo!! Plus $400.00 in OBC !

Princess sent us a really good Casino offer so we took it for a 7 Day California Coastal 04-17-21 from our home port of SF.

Still waiting for that really good HAL offer, but haven't seen any yet.

We already had March 2021 booked on the lovely Nieuw Statendam. We booked the New Year's cruise on Zuiderdam as a replacement cruise for our cancelled one and are thrilled to get to share this with our family. Haven't been on her since 2009. Looking forwards to ringing in the New Year with HAL!! 🍾🥂

We are not "Booked" but are hoping to board on 10-24-20 for the b2b to FLL.

 

Thanks to the Inside Cabin for starting this more positive thread...  Had three canceled so far as this was to be my first retirement year (postponed that too as we can't travel!).

 

Maybe we are crazy but we and traveling friends are thinking the Caribbean may be the first to open up, so we are hoping for a Celebrity Equinox cruise in September.  Then the Volendam Oct-Nov.

 

We are booked (booked in May of 19) for the holiday Antarctica sailing on Westerdam.  Sure hope that happens.  We are also booked on Celebrity Summit for next May - 10 days including three in Bermuda (rescheduled from June 2020).  Hoping to take the Rotterdam to Greenland August 29 of '21.
