Casino Changes

Ceasars Casino changes will probably be the same as cruise ship casinos:

 

TABLE GAMES

• Positions will be limited at each table to allow for appropriate social distancing.
  • Three players per blackjack / pai gow / carnival game table
  • Four players per roulette / poker table
  • Six players per craps table
• Guests will not be able to congregate behind players at a gaming table.
• Where possible, procedures have been adjusted to allow only dealers to touch cards.
• High touch gaming items (dice, chips, etc.) will be routinely disinfected, and cards will be refreshed more frequently.
• Dealers will provide hand sanitizer to every arriving player

I heard they will be disabling a lot of slots.  They could put plexiglass between the slots....the machines would make more than the cost of the alteration.

hopefully they add some more indoor smoking areas, if they are trying to keep people in the casino from being to crammed. Seems like a no-brainer and I've been saying it for years, maybe this will be a positive that comes from this damn flu stuff.

If anything they will BAN smoking, NOT increase smoking areas. There will be ZERO chances they will increase places to smoke.

why the hell would they ban smoking in reaction to this? It's been shown that smokers are 4x less prone to this flu than the general public. They don't know if it is the nicotine or something else in the cigarette but they've already been giving patients nicotine patches in many hospitals around the world.

I heard like only 4% of known cases are smokers. Thats astonishing!

I had not seen this stat until you just posted but just saw it in several places as 5%. I know smoking maybe isn't good for everything but it has always blown my mind how no one ever talks about it when it does have a health benefit. 

 

1) weight loss

2) reduced incidence of allergies

3) better mental health

4) better pharmacological uptake of certain drugs

5) increased cognitive performance

6) lower chance of contracting the covid flu

 

and people wonder why some of us question health authorities

but you forget that most non-smokers (majority) dont want more smoking areas. so why upset the majority during a time in which their customer base might be shrinking.

pal I'm not saying it's 100% good for you but to say it's 100% bad just kills all credibility.

I think the whole ship should be smoking optional, with the exception of a few spaces on the deck that are reserved for non-smokers.

I take no stance on the subject one way or the other. FWIW, I have never in my 72 years on this planet, taken one puff of a cigarette. Both of my parents were heavy chain smokers, and developed at a very early age, an extreme aversion to smoking. They both passed away from complications brought on by COPD.

To get off the topic of smoking and get back on the subject of what they will do, I don't see them putting Plexiglas (BTW,  Plexiglas is a brand name) between the slots.  For one thing, they are too close together.  What bothers me is that if someone does have it and plays on a machine, then they get up and leave, will someone disinfect the machine before the next player sits down.   I think the slots will be a breeding ground for germs.

And that's IF you can find wipes. Very limited supply right now.

The cruise line should supply the wipes on each row of machines and require passengers to clean them after use...like we do in the gym.  And casino staff should walk around and continuously clean slots and stools throughout the day/night.  And let's not forget that players themselves have a responsibility to wash their hands often and avoid touching their face.

 All that with just the pesky side effects of stinking all the time, tar stained teeth and hands, lung cancer, esophogial cancer, COPD, heart disease, stroke... 

 

BTW, at least half  list can also be listed for exercise without any of those pesky side effects.

 

No, you will never convince me that "health benefits" come anywhere close to justifying the negative health effects. I doubt any doctor would agree either.

Considering people Covid (aka BC)  many people were making every effort possible to wipe down every surface they may touch, including a deep clean of their cabins, why wouldn't it be reasonable to do the same on the machine just before you play. After all, you only are going to be touching a very few square inches of the machine surface. That is unless you are one of those that feel it necessary to be very touchy with the screen.

 

Again, as has been mentioned often enough, If someone is not going to be comfortable with the precautions that can be taken within reason, they won't go on a cruise. If the prevalence of the virus is still great, at any given time in any given place, there just won't be cruises. Nobody will take the risk. You won't be able to buy affordable insurance that will cover you. Remember, every time people talk about a return to this or that, they are talking about doing it safely. If it is not seen as safe, there won't be cruises.

Oh I already have them 🙂  Besides, we don't cruise until Jan and figure the supply will be there .

Yep hopefully no shortage of them with all businesses needing to wipe things down after pretty much every use/time. 

 

And this doesn't resurface in the fall/winter.  It's  been an interesting ride.
