What is the best thing you've ever won on RCI? Bingo? Slots? Lotto? Champagne?

Yes the bingo game was circumstantially held the first morning , for the cruiser who had booked the suite unexpectedly Sadly passed away just prior to arriving at the ship . The big lounge on deck four was packed . I had to force my wife to play that morning . We probably had the last seat in the house . Sign up time took about an hour and half , there were so many people . Obviously we were very lucky and fortunate to have the cabin for the first leg of a b2b 28 day cruise . The hard part was the second leg of b2b , the cabin was booked  , and we had to go back to our smaller cabin . The first leg was a wonderful Fall Foliage Quebec City to New Jersey , and second leg was New Jersey to Southern Caribbean back up Western Caribbean  to Galveston .

So did they award the  grand suite as a bingo prize - or the royal suite?

Weird that  the  bingo room would be crowded for the grand suite.   I thought they gave away better suites.  I hope those paying for an owner's suite or the royal suite  did not pay to play.  Can you imagine wining a suite that is not as nice as the one you currently booked?

These days the corkscrews are not branded and are simply white.    Generally  not worth taking unless you really need a cheap 99 cent corkscrew.    Of course it is  worth MUCH  more if you need to  open a bottle of wine.  🍷

The Royal Suite was already occupied by cruiser that had booked, paid and checked into it .

The Grand was the Suite of the cruiser who unexpectedly sadly passed away just prior to arriving at the ship .

Therefore an unoccupied cabin that could be given away as prize at Bingo .

Obviously many cruisers were interested,  that were not in owner's suite or the royal suite .

At Bingo, one of our traveling companions won the Grand Suite. The chocolate covered strawberries for someone else were still in the room welcoming them aboard. I got a good chuckle.

It was also a bit of a problem for them. One of them had a lot of trouble getting into and out of the tub as the step up was very high. She had to be helped into and out of the tub every morning for her shower.

I wanted that mouse. Dont think my number ever got pulled at anything. The only thing I can remember winning was a too small tee shirt. Got a free Santa claus hat but a extra tall and larger than me husband grabbed it out of my hands for his wife. Hopefully that description doesnt offend some husband or man.

But that mouse was coveted. I guess I'm not lucky at drawings and stuff, though tbh I skip a lot off them and tend to avoid crowds. So my fault too. I did really want that mouse.

I am guessing it was at least 10 years ago and people actually "oooo'd and ahhhh'd" .....

It was the top prize.

The only place we have ever won anything is at Cruise Critic M&Ms.  😉

DH , myself and a couple we happened to sit next to won trivia.  They gave us 6 of the blue hats.  That’s been years ago and DH uses them every day.  They may not have cost RC much, but he loves them.

I let a lady get in front of me in the bingo line to purchase cards.  Paper card....she won the free cruise.  That is typically my luck! 😇  At least I did a good deed.  I have gotten several of those t shirts they give away when your free spin at the slot machine doesn't win enough to get any money 😂

I have won many prizes playing trivia, raffles etc. on different cruise lines. With RCI besides trivia, I have only won on The Navigator of the Seas from Italy: the Spa Raffle and the Internet raffle years ago. My nephew won a bingo too. I have won in the casino with Carnival and NCL and also won other prizes on these lines and Princess but I have won the most with NCL. I was on the Majesty and I think it was the penultimate voyage for that ship. They had many raffles and I entered all the ones that I found.I was traveling with my cousin and a friend and they entered those raffles too. I won all the raffles that I entered so I was happy but feeling bad about them. So the last day, we went to the jewelry store and they had a bag with many prizes with items with the Majesty logo. To enter this raffle you had to buy something from the stores and I had bought a souvenir to remember the ship so I got a ticket and I won  it. I shared the logo prizes with my cousin and friend. When we went to the cabin there was a note to contact a staff member regarding a store raffle that we entered in Bermuda. This time it was my cousin who won it.

My biggest win with Carnival besides the slot win was again one of those raffles that you have to buy something to get a ticket so I did it. They had the raffle at the theater before the show and the staff member that was doing the drawing dropped one of the entries. I was on the first row and told him that. He said something like Let's have this one then. I couldn’t believe it when he called my name. I won a basket with many gifts. Some with Carnival logo. But my luckiest ship so far was the NCL Majesty.

One of the prizes for winning Love and Marriage was a "chocolate diamond pendant necklace"  Not sure of its value at all, but its the nicest most permanent thing we have gotten.

"Chocolate?"  I would have eaten it!

We've had some luck over the years as my wife has won bingo several times but the one time she went back to the cabin to get ready for dinner I went and won the free cruise.  I've also won the blackjack tournament a couple of times and my largest slot jackpot was $3,000.  My wife hit two jackpots in the $1,000 - $1,100 range on the same machine on the same cruise. (Yay!  No W-2G from Royal when under $1,200.00).  We also won the $300 OBC from Next Cruise on one trip plus lots and lots of RCL swag in various giveaways and Meet & Mingles.

I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise to New Orleans during Mardi Gras.  I had already given our Waiter and Asst Waiter $20 each in a Thank You card, on the first night (in addition to their planned tip at the end of the cruise). So it was the first formal night and I was wearing a rather princess-y gown.  They announced that someone from first seating would be 'randomly' picked to serve as Mardi Gras Queen of the ship, and that someone from second seating would be chosen as Mardi Gras King.  The winner would have a cherry in their piece of King Cake for dessert.

It seemed odd to me that a woman and a man could be picked 'randomly', but sure.  I didn't pay much attention to the piece of King Cake our waiter oh-so-carefully slid next to me, as I was getting acquainted with a Gran Marnier souffle at the time. I did wonder why no one else was crying "Cherry!".  After devouring my souffle, I jokingly picked up my King Cake slice, saying "I guess I'll just squish this a little to find the cherry", but the moment I flipped it over, there it was!  I was Queen!  They called me to the center of the dining room and crowned me with an expensive crown that was vaguely reminiscent of the margarine crown from commercials of yore.

For a little background, I was a homely child and a reasonably attractive teenager, but not exactly prom or homecoming queen material.  Here I was at 40, finally playing the part!  I suspected that my floofy dress and the tip the night before 'tipped' the scales in my favor and that it was not random at all; and this was reinforced when I saw the King who was crowned at second seating - he had a Henry VIII beard!  He kept wearing his crown around the ship all week, while I managed to contain myself until actual Queen related activites.

What did I get?  The pretty nifty crown, free shore excursions, a free hairdo, mani and pedi at the spa, free dinner for two at one of the specialty restaurants, and the privilege to judge a Mardi Gras costume contest on the pool deck!  The two winners of the costume contest got huge gift baskets, which I was privately bemoaning, when they whipped out two more - for the King and I!

I was fun and stupid and gratifying and memorable, all at once.

My daughter lost the kids Bingo, but she was well behaved for the kids club staff so they liked her and gave her the same prize-an octopus. She was ecstatic-we now have five octopi.

My husband won $500 in bingo after I told him I didn't want to play.

On a Disney cruise they did Pub Games and my husband and I with my mom tagging along at times won 3rd place-teams one and two had like ten people a piece. It tallied the weeks games for points so we were proud of ourselves. We won a nifty passport holder I keep lovingly under my bathroom sink and smile at every time I see remembering my win.
