1ANGELCAT Posted October 8, 2020 #29 Share Posted October 8, 2020 FYI. The zebra balloon can be yours for a mere $3 Thousand. I’d rather have a cruise . 5
CrabbyPatti Posted October 8, 2020 #30 Share Posted October 8, 2020 Me three! The grands often play "Freeze Tag" when they are here, so maybe a game of tag this afternoon when they arrive? Love the hot air balloon pictures that were shared. Several years ago we went to Reno (and then happened to find out it was the weekend for hot air balloons) Circus Circus casino/hotel had a "rooftop, sunrise" breakfast where we had chairs, heaters and blankets to sit and watch the sunrise balloon flight, it was chilly as it was held in September, but it was fun to watch. I would go again if we get a chance. Sure missing cruising, added some more change to my "cruise fund" and it is getting pretty full! Been waiting to surprise Dave with the total, but need to have a cruise to go on first! At this rate, I may have enough to pay for the whole cruise before I tell him! Stay safe, Denise

Seasick Sailor Posted October 8, 2020 #32 Share Posted October 8, 2020 Copper and Summer are an internet sensation!! CHICAGO (CBS) — A post circling the internet and social media claims the childhood game of TAG is an acronym. The post reads: “How old were you when you learned that the game TAG stands for ‘Touch and Go’… I was today years old.” The alleged acronym, however, has been debunked. Merriam-Webster Dictionary took to twitter saying, “We’re 190 years old and ‘tag’ doesn’t mean ‘touch and go.'” 5

Rare rafinmd Posted October 8, 2020 #35 Share Posted October 8, 2020 The Canmar Courage did in fact leave Montreal the morning of Thursday, March 20, 2003. By the time we left the view out my lovely forward facing picture window was not quite as nice as when I boarded: There was still quite a bit of ice in the St. Lawrence as we headed out to sea. We continued to see ice beyond Newfoundland. Next photo is 3 of my 4 fellow passengers: I thought I would cover the freighter in just one post but it will be at least two. Next up, life on the freighter. Roy 11

Marmot@Sea Posted October 8, 2020 #39 Share Posted October 8, 2020 Good Day. I hope everyone is well. I have been looking through photos and could not find something that quite fit, so settled on the picture below. It was taken in 2016. It will be any time now that I will start spotting leaves like this. Val

Balloons are a lovely sight up in the air. I hope people are able to get their sight checked in these trying times. I got my eyes checked back in May - just after we came out of the tight restrictions. A lot more careful procedures, but it did work.
Dismomx5 Posted October 9, 2020 #50 Share Posted October 9, 2020 Good evening and thanks again to Rich, Roy and all the contributors to this thread. Interesting mix of days today. We had our (delayed) eye appointments in early September. We had our flu shots today. It was tricky finding a pharmacy relatively close to me that had the vaccine available, but we did it! There was a bit of a line up and it took about an hour, but it's done. 👍🏻 The dinner sounds good, but we had breakfast for dinner tonight. Shopping tomorrow for our Saturday Thanksgiving celebration. Blessings to all. Prayers to those who need them, and toasts for all the celebrations! Be well. Stay safe. Be kind. Wear a mask!
